The receding is likely due to overbrushing, or brushing too harshly along the gumline. This is an issue I deal with as well. Switch to soft brushes and try to keep your circles light on the pressure.

I'd be really creeped out to have my dad sticking his fingers in my mouth.

On the flipside, you don't have the weird, crippling fear of dentists that most people seem to express.

Spoiler:
And guess how much I pay?

This seems a bit over the top tbh, 40k for 1 tooth is idiotic imo.

Not when it's your front tooth and you're a woman and I'm guessing it looked awful since when I saw it after all the work it looked bad. Front teeth are hard to fix because it takes a few tries to get them to look right. It didn't cost 40k for one, it cost 40k because she had to have it done a few times and sometimes they have to get structural things right. I'm pretty sure she didn't want to lie to me about how much she spent. In fact at the time she was living in Manhattan and had to sublet her apartment and move into a ****tier one to pay for all the costs.

This is the real reason why your gums are receding. Brush with your off hand.
