Basically how much trust we put into the creators. Some cars nowadays, are so smart it is all computer controlled. Be some ****ed up **** when all of a sudden your brakes don't work because someone is telling your car not to allow them to work not sure where I'm going with this, u guys scared?

in a similar vein as the car, saw a local news story on "wired" homes (lights, garage, alarm, sprinkler system, entertainment system, etc.) and how if you buy such a home from a previous homeowner, ldo be sure to change all the info and passwords. but most ppl don't.

This already happens. As does driving you into a tree at 100 mph.

Yeah checkout is not working.

I use a service company online that I know uses AWS, their system is now crapped out, I kinda doubt it's a coincidence.

I have a pretty hot tip! smile.amazon.com is working 100%. I just spent my free $10, no problem.

First thing I see on amazon.com is a Fire HD tablet. That reminds me I bought one for prime day last year and didn't even unpack it. I wonder where it went..

Also a good reminder to not buy stuff again unless I plan on using it. I feel like prime day is todays version of drunken nightly teleshopping during college days.

Still down, JFC.

I recently noticed that I get charged a Prime membership on a cc on the 12th, and from my checking account on the 22nd? Is there a good reason for this?

I was already signed up for smile for a local non-profit. Is there absolutely any downside to smile over regular amazon.com? As far as I could tell when switching there wasn't any difference other than a small percentage of my spend going to someone in my community doing something I find valuable.

You have to have a phone. Tablets are an accessory.
