- Steve Hofstetter does a lot of youtube vids where he owns some of the hecklers at his shows. How realistic for the average comic is this when it happens? Do the hecklers always get crushed, or what happens when they don't? Just booted from the property?
- How do comics who haven't made it feel about other comics who haven't made it? How supportive is that environment? What changes when someone makes it?
-I get hecklers a lot but I also do 15-20 shows a week.
-I think hecklers are a good thing cause most times they are going to end up on the losing side, it's like trying to jump into the octagon as a fan and fight a UFC athlete, even if it's a no named fighter, they are trained for this.
-I think a lot of people now go to see Steve Hofstetter because he has almost branded himself as that comic, not taking anything away from him but that is clearly what he posts most about and it obviously is enjoyed by comedy fans.
Heckling happens because audience members are either too drunk or the comedians is pushing the boundaries, so I don't expect a down the middle comic to get heckled much. At a good comedy club/venue, they kick out the heckler
-I run with a lot of amazing comedians in Toronto, gifted ****ing comics that will be famous or all have a following. I believe there is enough work and opportunity for everyone, I love seeing comedians make it that I know, that just means I'm one step closer. With that being said, there are a lot of jealous miserable ****s.
