Yes, it's damming that he is put at the crime scene just a couple minutes before the supposed TOD, by his own admission on the stand and proven to have lied about a ton of stuff including originally saying he wasn't at the crime scene.

OTOH, he would have had a very tight window to go home shower off any blood and GSR, get rid of the old clothes and murder weapon, and leave no evidence behind.

There is a pretty decent chance this will be a hung jury, or at the least jury will be out for days until they beat the 1 or 2 jurors that don't want to convict into submission.

He is done on the stand, about 4 to 6 witnesses left this coming week.

Prosecution had called previous witness again that was a former partner of Alex and was mad about all the money Alex stole from the firm.

The jury is at the crime scene now, they will be back in court with closing arguments at 11am EST.

I'm a civil lawyer, not a criminal lawyer, but my understanding is it's asked for in almost every case. I imaging part of it has to do with appeals, and the need to preserve arguments.

I would imagine he knew he was cooked when the jury came back in 3 hours lol. I'm pretty surprised they came back that fast given the gravity of the case. I wanted to watch it live but it happened too fast.

Min. he gets is 30 years, max is Life without parole. So either way it will be the rest of his life, especially when he is looking at decades for his financial crimes also.

County jail will get him transported ASAP. Not only do they not want to deal with the media, they really do not want such a high profile inmate attempting/committing suicide in their facility.

Just saw a juror on the news said there was 2 jurors that said not guilty and 1 said undecided, and it only took 45 minutes to get everyone on guilty. Wow, they must be some weak-willed people to get their mind changed that fast.

The judge really went into a speech before sentencing, was good stuff, told Alex that Maggie and Paul will visit him at night when he is trying to get to sleep.

Why would you call them "weak-willed"? Maybe they just weren't sure of a few things and it didn't that long to review. Do you think jury deliberations are some sort of battle?

Mark Geragos said on TV last week that most juries have 2-3 people who drive the deliberations and can influence others. I was on a jury in 1996 for two weeks in a civil case and me and 2 other guys drove the deliberations and convinced a few woman to go with us even though they didn't really want too. So I can see why that happened.
