yeah android is a great app, easiest way to transfer stuff to your phone imo

another cool feature is that you can show your camera input on your screen and take pics and stuff

That flow hard vid is awesome, I see they are rocking the chromebooks at SwiftKey.
can you download from google and move to an ipod?

I don't think you can. You basically buy the right to listen to the music, sort of a licence, you don't own the music itself. You can download the music and listen it offline within the app tho.

How do all the free MP3 downloaders work? My little brother told me about them, and sure enough, they're in the store.

Are they illegal, spyware, both, what? I don't see why someone would pay for music when these are available.

I throw music on my phone from my PC so I've never really bothered to download one. Plus, I'm not sure I trust them.

Anyone go from the HTC M7 to the M8? I really wanted to switch this year, but kinda underwhelmed by the M8. I love HTC and could not bear to give up the front facing speakers or Sense, so I don't see any other option out there. But the M8 just doesn't seem like a big enough improvement. The camera has already gotten some bad reviews (not bad really, just not great).

I have not had to flash a custom ROM on my current One, so I am thinking about just doing that and trying to hold off another year. But that seems like sooooooo long.

Thoughts?

I use Spotify just for the convenience. I used to download all my music from Kazaa and limewire when I was younger, which took a ****load of time. Now with Spotify, I have every song I want already available to me without having to download them. For $8 a month, you can't beat that.

Never used the m7, but the m8 is the best phone I've ever used. Lightning fast, and I ran a benchmark test app and it crushed the competition. No other phone came close in performance.

But you can on spotify?

From Spotify--->
"Play any song, anywhere
Download music & listen offline in high-quality audio"

You dont need to have one company make all your tech or even run all of everything on one ecosystem. Id use an Android phone and probably the new Nexus tablet that I bet is being released soon (3rd gen 7 and maybe a 2nd gen 10 as options) but you can make a good argument for sticking with the iPad.

But you get nothing out of changing from Macbook to some kind of Windows running Ultrabook.

After having used the Nexus 7 the last months I barely could look at the iPhone 4S anymore. After using Link Bubble for a couple weeks I was finally fed up with iOS, small screen and being handcuffed (even with jb), so picked up the Nexus 5 yesterday. Very happy with it so far as everything is obviously crushing my old 4S.

Only thing that annoys me so far is using my Apple EarPods / Bose AE2i and people can barely hear me using the inline mic.

Is there anyway to set up Textra or another messaging app (if people have suggestions lmk) to show who a message is from on the lockscreen? I don't want the message to pop up, just the sender, like it is on the iPhone.

Oh, didnt even realise I had that set up on Dashclock already, shows how I just drag down the notification shade without checking who messaged me first.

Does anyone have Verizon and the HTC One (M8) Google Play edition? I need to know if it works on the Verizon network. Verizon is just so direct and helpful.

TIA.

And while the phone is still the sexiest android out there by far, it's a bit wider and much taller than the m7. The new camera is a bit better than the last one but you already know what the camera is like. BoomSound is louder than last year, and the volume is better dispersed.

If you like the m7 you'll like the m8. Truly, it ****ing flies. I still think that last year's model had the slightly classier design. Go to Verizon and hold it in your hand

Dolphin is the only one that can handle reflow reasonably well, but it's not as tight as the stock browser.

It's awesome to have a phone this big and be able to double tap the screen to turn it on.
Thanks for the input. I use chrome browser most of the time anyway. I will probably go in and check it out once tmous has it in stores. But I am kinda thinking that I will just root my M7 and throw on a custom ROM with sense 6 and hopefully that will last me until they come out with their next phone. If they would have added a 8UP or 13MP camera it would have been a no brainer. Adding a stupid second sensor while losing OIS makes it less desirable.
