Make sure you're using the correct versions of things. Don't mix 4.3 tools with 4.4 Android...

You do get LTE on the $30 plan as long as you are in a LTE coverage area.

Friend of mine is looking to get her first smart phone, but doesn't want anything special OR to spend a bunch a money. Any ideas on entry level (read:cheap) phones that have come out in the last couple years to search for on craigslist?

Ideally it could also only display notifications for those I want it to. And also a toggle where it could switch back to a default settings for all

I am just going to copy my comments from an early post:

Moto G would be my recommendation as well. My son has one and it is a really good device, offering performance somewhere between an S3 and S4 but with a trivial cost (just $180). The only downside IMO is the camera is not so great (5 MP with a smallish sensor by modern standards). There is also the fact that it doesn't have LTE, but it's data snappiness is only marginally worse in most situations with steaming video being the only area in which hiccups might be felt (well, unless you are on Verizon, in which case your data will be knocked back to CDMA-level 3g, but the phone only costs $100 on Verizon).

So yeah, Moto G FTW!

Holding the phone up to your ear and having it call the contact on the screen is outstanding.

Yea it's tight. I'm having an issue with the led light not working though. I have all the led settings turned on but it still doesn't light up when I receive texts and calls.

I think I've got to wait on the OnePlusOne, LG G3, Z2, and others to be fully reviewed before deciding on something to upgrade my G2. One >>> S5 though to me.

At this point everything is so good that I don't need to update like I used to. if the OnePlus One with CM works and has great battery life that may be my phone for a really long time. Once I can get a phone to last a full day through heavy battery use the only thing left I care about is the ability to flash it often, aka something with developers. The only reason I even want to update the G2 is the lack of developers.

FYI, if you haven't checked out Spotify, it's way better value imo than iTunes. $8/month for any song you want.

Google Music is better. I still stick to Spotify because I have all my playlists there but last time I checked, Google Music had a bigger library, the option to import 10k (or maybe 100k) songs of your own and albums seem to release faster on the google platform (1 week earlier for the last Cudi).

That flow hard vid is awesome, I see they are rocking the chromebooks at SwiftKey.

still looking for a replacement dialer/contacts manager than stock on an N5, been using eXdialer, meh its ok, but one bug( wont register as default) for certain aspects, along with the way it handles missed calls is bugging me.
Just curious what others are using.

What's the easiest way to get text from a PC to my phone? Like if I want to link someone to a website.
