I find it difficult to imagine any mobile service will be able to monitor tweets at a meaningfully faster speed than Pushbullet. Sounds like you'd need some sort of server based operation.

You make a solid point. Most likey holding back tech for future.

Also one of the reasons I switched from Samsung....I broke one with a drop from knee height......that screen is not protected from breaking with a simple case the way a pixel or whatever is. Unacceptable for a hand held device of such frequent use imo... but profits first obv

ive been having issues with downloading text messages lately, especially if its a bitmoji. it just spins and wastes batter power

i have a galaxy s9+ on ATT

ive tried a few different messaging apps

a reboot usually fixes it but any other tips or ideas

Have been running Android 10 for about a week now. Dark mode is cool, but other than that I haven't noticed anything that impacts daily use.
Nothing seems worse though so I suppose that's a positive.

Edit
Now that I think about it more the "share" option from web pages has been improved. Seems faster and easier to use. Also automatically pops up the URL with a copy button which is convenient.

Got myself the OnePlus7 Pro yesterday lovely phone so far very smooth and fast

anyone else have one ? i had choice of that or the iphone 11 decided on the oneplus pro the bevelled screen and little pop up camera were the sealers for the deal.

I did research a little between the two and oneplus just edged the iphone 11 in terms of speed etc

also just as example i ran a wifi speed test in my home, my older phone the iphone se never gets above 35-40ish mbps and about 17 up

The same connection on the oneplus pro gets full speeds of my connection which is 75mbps down and 20 up

any accessories or apps i should i get ?

it the 6Gb RAM model GM1913 and 128 storage
android 9
Oxygen OS 9.5.11

Same. I've used Textra for years and it's a pretty fantastic app. Tons of customization and updated frequently.

Anyone else get a Pixel 4? I pulled the trigger as I had two Pixel 3 XLs and both had USB port failures. Instead of getting another refurbished 3XL, I went for the new 4XL. The face unlock is a nice feature. Are there any other benefits to gestures instead of the waiving away an incoming call? I was hoping I could hand-wave from screen-to-screen (like going from pic-to-pic in a photo album), but that doesn't seem to be the case.

As I understand it, you can also swipe to go to the next song or previous song. I'm sure there will be more uses as time goes on.

The battery size on the 4 has me worried. I wanted to upgrade my 2 to a 4 and was fully planning on doing so until I saw the 90hz display and battery size. I really just wanted a Pixel 2 with 1.5x the battery life and maybe some other minor improvements. Maybe (hopefully) they'll make a Pixel 4a and that will be more in line with what I'm looking for

Never have a USB failure again:

They work great.

I've seen this before (maybe from this thread) and will look into it again. Thanks.

My initial 3 XL battery lasted ~2 days before it needed to be charged, so it's not like I overused it. I have a wireless charger and used wireless earbuds to get around the USB port problems.

The Google case arrived a few hours ago and makes the phone seem at least twice as heavy, but I love the texture (I had a similar case with my 3 XL).

Those magnetic cables look like they could be pretty useful.
I see that they offer them with a Type C magnetic piece that goes into the phone, but all the ones I see only have a standard USB A plug on the other end of the cable.
Anyone able to find these with Type C plugs on both ends?

Damn I miss the original Swype keyboard. This Gboard or whatever it is doesn't come close in comparison.

(About 4 spelling/word mistakes manually corrected in the above alone).

Looking for some guidance. My Pixel 3 is barely over a year old so it is out of Google warranty. The camera stopped working altogether when I downloaded Android 10 and now the power button doesn't work at all. I have Asurion coverage but they want $200 bucks to send me a refurbished phone. Do I have any other options other than buying a new phone? I'm so fing pissed at Google I can't think straight. Had the original Pixel that also broke just outside the manufacturers warranty. You would think I would learn my lesson.

Did you reset your phone first to see if it fix your camera issue. It could be a bug from the update.

The camera issue was fixed in the update I installed today. Now the power and volume buttons don't work. Working fine when I woke up this morning, stopped working randomly. Anyone else experience this?
