I'm not super price concious, but $1K + lower monthly cost is worth my time.

Anyone have good/bad thoughts re: T-mobile? Particularly in Seattle if you got it...
Free Galaxy S7s? I'm skeptical. Are you sure it isn't $0 down and then standard financing charges at full retail?

Third one down in mobile, says in store only, free galaxy s7s via prepaid card.

Am I missing something?

Edit: read the fine print, you have to trade in a qualifying phone, note 4 not on the list . Note 5 would be. I think my wife's i phone would qualify, but this puts a damper on it.

Been with TMO a long time. Their service is great in cities. It can be a little spotty in rural areas, but it's been getting better. Places I'd go a few years ago without service are now fine.

This T-Mobile one looks legit, but another common ploy is to say something like:

"Switch to {insert MVNO here} and get a free Samsung Galaxy smartphone!"

Leading one to believe they are getting THE Samsung Galaxy smartphone that everyone is thinking of, the flagship. What you are really getting is a misleading title on a ****box phone, like the Samsung Galaxy Core Prime or some other bs.

What are the best used $2-300 phones I should look at for the T-Mobile offer? Would need to pick up at least 2.

I work for T-Mobile. PM me any questions.

In addition, I have 5 "hook up codes" that are good for 20% off of your service plan, FOR LIFE. New activations only. PM me.

So yeah, that'd be 3 lines of unlimited for $80/month, taxes included.

Just saw a commercial for MetroPCS that seemed very misleading in a couple of ways:

1. Unlimited Talk, Text, and Data for $30 (and then in fine print only 1GB of LTE!)
2. Free Samsung Galaxy J7, nothing like trying to mislead people into thinking they are getting a great phone for free when they are actually getting a pos

Switched to T Mobile yesterday, pretty psyched. TY icepick for the hook up code!

In summary:
- You can get a free Galaxy S7, but it's 1 per trade-in (the ad had assumed two lines and two trade ins = two free phones)
- You can get a S7 Edge for $100 instead
- Starting yesterday or the day before, you can also get a iPhone 7 32GB free with roughly the same trade-in list (although note 5 wasn't on the iPhone trade in-list)
- You can upgrade storage and to the 7+ for various fees
- The $150/line switch deal ended early last week - had I moved the day I posted it I would be $300 richer, but oh well

We traded in my wife's iPhone 6 for a $100 S7 Edge for me, then she financed a new iPhone 7+ 128GB on their jump plan (this lets her maintain the option to upgrade to the 8 when it comes out).

Total out of pocket payment was around $275, which was taxes on the phones, SIM start up costs, and $150 for the larger iPhone than the standard jump plan.

My bill will go from $167/mo on Verizon w/ 10GB to $80/mo for the service + ~55/mo for the phones until we pay them off.

Everything works great at home, hoping service is good at work tomorrow.

Don't forget to install the T-Mobile Tuesday's app. Tons of great free stuff.

On April 4th, T-mobile is giving away a free season subscription to MLB TV ($112) to all T-mobile customers using the app.

Thanks for the rec, Mark.

I've been using the $30 T-mobile prepaid plan for a couple years now and love it. Perfect for someone like me that doesn't use a lot of data. Service has always been good for me in cities. And good god it's cheap.

don't think I've ever needed to turn it off and there's hotspots all over where I live so it's not an issue for me at least.

So my Galaxy S6 Edge is about done. First the aux jack messed up and now I can't connect to WiFi. AT&T can't or won't fix it and I'm not gonna pay the ridiculous $200 deductible to get a refurbished one. Any recommendations for a new phone or should I just wait a couple months and get an S8?

My average Fi bill over the last 12 months is about $32. That includes significant international usage.

Are you guys with Fi all in metropolitan areas? I'm interested but am in the suburbs and worried about coverage. I see it rates my area for 3g data speed which doesn't seem like a great sign.

anywhere to download android 7.0 for my droid turbo 2 on verizon? I just had to replace my turbo 2 with an insurance replacement and the new device is on 6.0 and says no updates available when I search. my old device updated about 2 weeks ago to 7.0 and the move back to 6.0 is bothering me. is there anywhere to go to download or a way to force my device to update?
