I'm really loving my nexus 5 so far. I grabbed tasker the other day thanks to this thread and I am currently learning the ropes to setup some Entry/Exit tasks for work, home, etc; incredible app.

Anyone feel like sharing homescreens? I've been playing around a bit with my customization and here's what I have so far:

The lock screen is beautiful, how did you make it look like that?

Yea the one thing I was never able to do was have a cool lock screen that also does security because widget locker etc just sits on top and that's dumb. Details?

Edit: your home screen is pretty sick too, I'll take the whole package please.

Thanks! Aside from having a wallpaper set and the lock pattern turned on, I haven't really done anything to customize the lock screen that I know of.

I wouldn't know how to share my setup, but these are the details of what I have configured on my Home Screen thus far.

Nova Launcher - Desktop grid setup to 6x6 with no margins (this makes the icons really small)
- Widget resize option set to yes (due to the 6x6 layout, if you don't set this widgets will be almost useless)
DashClock - This is giving me the Clock, Short-Date, Weather, Inbox count and alarm.
Icons - Minimalist UI icon pack (this adds a theme to Nova Launcher)

Wallpaper was from a picture I took myself last summer

http://www.flickr.com/photos/spottswoode/10128202816/ (shameless plug)

I think that's the basis of the visible portions of the desktop, if I think of anything else I'll update.

That is the standard lock screen for the Nexuses on 4.4.

BTW I recommend you look into Dashclock, its an awesome alternative to the standard clock, easily lets you put notifications like missed calls and upcoming calendar events etc on the lockscreen.

As for chargers I definitely recommend the one that Google is selling for the Chromebook 11 in the Play Store. Does some ridiculous high mAh if the device draws it so will max the charge to 2.2mAh or whatever your phone is limited to.

Anyone got a recommendation for a Nexus 5 car mount, preferably including charging?

I solved it by factory resetting the phone. Works great now.
I was about to take it to the AT&T store just to get their opinion / possibly have them do some kind of reset / possibly get a new phone / whatever. Decided to try one more time before I left, and not it seems to work fine. Very strange. If anyone has any thoughts as to what could've happened I'd be curious. Otherwise - just figured a serious issue like this deserved an update.

I think my issue was caused when my phone crashed/turned off while I was in the middle of using it. It probably corrupted some files or internal database.

This is actually very interesting. Noted.

Another update: stopped working. Lol. Now after not going to the store I'm going to be out of town for the weekend. Oh well.

That power socket is sexy tho.
ive been trying to find one that doesn't have a flashing light while its charging...even a steady blue/green LED would be fine.
PITA at night next to the bed.( flashing light)

I've been happy with this one: http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B00...A1PU58TIO4246Z

It doesn't blink, and the you can charge your phone with it positioned low enough to block the light if you want.

Reasonably priced too.

Does it happen when your battery gets low, or on any battery level?

Can't help you there, though I do know that some apps that help youfind you're phone automatically turn your gps on randomly.

Is this the right place to ask about poker game tracking apps for Android? Sorry, I'm grunching.

Looking for opinions on the best live poker stat tracking apps, both free and $$$. Obviously something for bankroll management game to game but also wondering about other stat features.

Also, any poker game apps for Android? Like to kill the time when I'm totally cold at a live table? Play money just fine.

Seriously, sorry if there's a better thread in the poker forums for this. I searched, I swear.

sharpie even.
The thing is the ones i bought originally( recommended here...) are white and the green LED's are built into the base ( three of them) they illuminate(bleed/glow) a good amount into the plastic around the actual light as well. Taping them up would take quite a bit and it would look like hell. In the dark they are light like a damn flashing neon sign.
Will just use those elsewhere in the house.

I ordered two of the units that Malice recommended in black.
Small solid/steady blue or green should be fine, sharpie otherwise.

Just a note for anyone that uses the T-mobile prepaid plans... (e.g. us $30/month plan guys)

The Kroger company (Ralphs in Southern California) has a digital coupon on $50 airtime cards. If you buy 2, you save $12. You can buy up to ten airtime cards for a total savings of $60.

It's a digital coupon that needs activated on your stores website. You then buy the cards at your local store.

T-mobile airtime cards rarely go on sale anywhere. So a 12% discount is a pretty special opportunity. I'm buying a year+ worth. (8 to 10 cards)

What do you get for that $30 a month in data?
Im off plan, month to month on Tmo with two smart phones and a flip phone ( for inlaws, no data use but still given 500MB) the other two get 2.5 Gig each of data at LTE speed before throttling.
I pay 99.xx ( corporate discount).
Just wondering if i can further decrease my cost.
