OP1, OP2, OP3T and OP6T now and I will say been pretty happy overall. Definitely flag ship quality at lower price. 3T camera was a disappointing overall but usable. Looking forward to how 6T holds up. Was happy with 3T otherwise and would have continued with it, still very capable, I'm not a crazy user/gamer or anything intensive, but 6t was a gift so happy to have it.

BTW if anyone wants a 3t, lmk.

I bought a OnePlus 6 and loved the phone camera was great but the power/wake button failed and the service was horrible. When I bought the phone took them 3-4 weeks just to ship it. I filled out a repair request and they say you'll have a shipping label in 24 hours.
I am over a week and 3 -4 chat sessions and nothing.
I put a comment on their Facebook page and one guy bought a new 6T and failed in first week. Took him 2 months to get it repaired. Will see if it takes me two months to get fixed

Swapped out the battery on my Nexus 6 today. Don't appear to have bricked it despite my best efforts.

Capacity on the stock unit is 3200 mA. Mine was topping out at around 1800 or so, after about 3.5 years of heavy usage. Lots of shutting down mid-video & photo processing, and other sads. Just charged it up and AccuB reports 3100 mA estimated capacity on the new battery. I guess it could still blow up or something but so far it looks good.

The Fold is sick.

Too chunky and expensive and the front screen is too small to be actually worth buying at this point, but I am hype for potential double folding phone -> tablet -> big tablet in the future.

"Infinity O" is better than a notch but not by much. I think one of the Xiaomi has a tiny notch which is preferable even, but it's way nicer than the wide notches of late. I read the Note 10 will have a mechanical pop-out camera and be notchless, so that's got my interest. S7 Edge still working great anyhow for now.

My favourite solution is the MI mix 3 with the sliding back

"Martian Green" though... It will be interesting to see if there is a market for it, particularly at that price. I prefer big screens, but continually opening the phone to get one seems like it could get annoying.

Liked the sonic fingerprint scanner, would have been more enthused about the it if they had said your biometric data never leaves the phone though.

i think it sounds kinda cool, like back in the day there were the enV and some others that had 2 screens and opened up (to OMG a full keyboard). could do small stuff easily enough on the outside one and open it up for the "bigger" screen when just sitting, reading, etc.

$2k seems absurd tho, not only because most people arent going to want to drop that on an "experiment", but also, how often do flagships actually decrease in price over generations? are they really gonna set the bar for a 2k headlining phone?

id be pretty surprised if they wanted to take a step back in security here. it looked cool but didnt watch it all to see if itll actually be better than other readers, which like to change their mind on what your finger is pretty often

Bought a pocophone f1. Camera is ok. Only thing lacking is nfc. I'm running stock to try it out but I might switch to pixel
Experience soon.
A bargain at this price and I might buy a smart watch to compensate the lack of nfc and still save money

Just so everyone knows why I love my Galaxy S7: It spent at least 10 minutes in a port-a-potty -- yes, in the potty part. It was early in the day, so the potty hadn't been used much. My friends were calling me and I could hear it buzzing away. Pulled it out with a stick (it was in a leather wallet case -- completely unprotected from liquids), wiped it down with hand sanitizer, dried it with toilet paper, and it never missed a beat!

So you'd basically love any phone now? Because that hasn't been a distinguishing feature in some time.

that would be getting traded in within the hour, imo

^also true. even tho they needed the make the "s6 active", my s6 had taken several swims and never was a concern. granted, in slightly less gross water.

for any other pixel owners, is it just me or does the charging cable connection suck terribly? on both my 1 and 3xl its extremely loose and finicky almost immediately; i got the 3xl in nov, and by jan it was acting up. falls out basically on its own, and ive cleaned it out very well. on the 1, it basically needs to be restarted while charging to recognize its plugged in, and has for quite some time now. but thats been in use since a week after they came out

OG Pixel XL and no issues at all with the charging cable. Still tight as a virgin.
Are you putting pressure on the cable or plug and damaging the port when it's charging or something?

I had the OG Pixel XL and had zero issues. I got the Pixel 3 XL at launch and it started giving me charging issues ~4 months in. Only occasionally at first, but it's been maybe once a week recently. Usually a cleaning or a restart fixes the issue, but I've started wireless charging instead of trying to mess with it. However, it sucks when traveling and all I ever have is a cable. It hasn't been a big issue yet as it will eventually work, but it is worrisome.

So is the issue that the physical connection inside the port is bad, so no power transfer?

Or is it a software glitch? Like could the phone be getting a charge but for some reason the phone is just not giving the charge notification? When you go to settings => battery, it still doesn't show that it's charging?

i think the fault is in the weak connection they give by offering a cord that goes in either way. its like it has no grasp when its fully seated, and the slightest movement will let the cord go freely. a magnet like macbooks would be great.

pixel 1 was so bad that it would only work when oriented in one direction. on both, i use a staple to pick out any lint or whatever else gets in there. canned air after, kinda helps but not much

LOL at keeping a phone after it has literally been inside a port-a-potty.

Anyone happen to know what's the best service for getting a notification when a twitter account tweets a specific word or phrase? I'm using pushbullet but it's not fast enough.

Some IFTTT applet? But I assume it will be as fast as pushbullet.
