Had my phone stolen so looking for a replacement. I had a Lenovo P2 which had a 2/3 day battery, I'm on the hunt for something similar as that's been discontinued. Zenfone 4 Max maybe the next best?

What carrier do you use? If you use T-Mobile prepaid, you can get a free phone if you refill your prepaid account with $100. The deal has been active for about a month so I don't know how much longer it will run.

The LG Aristo 2 and Moto E5 Play are fairly decent phones. I snagged the Moto e5 Play. A couple days later, I got T-mobile to unlock it for free.

Thanks; I'll go back to Nova Prime. Doesn't appear to have been updated in several years, but at least it is clean and simple.

nova launcher gets updated regularly (it also has a beta channel iirc). the prime app is only to unlock the prime features, that's why it's not updated since 2016.

Nova launcher is becoming less relevant as Google give access to some decent launchers that require no customizations.
I m a typical nerd with an android phone, I purchased Nova prime a few years ago but I m not using it anymore as google now launcher is fine and require 0 setting up.

Was impressed with the wife's Nokia 6.1 so when my Samsung died I bought a 6.1+ sight unseen online. Slightly better specs but build quality not as good I'm.

That's my thorough review

The OnePlus 6T looks NEARLY perfect for me. And T-Mobile would give me $300 for my pixel 1 to upgrade to it. I just can't buy a big size phone, that's a deal breaker. So close, but so far. Why can't OnePlus make normal sized phones like everyone else?

Is it just me or did the default camera app for pixel update, and the on-screen controls now take up like half the screen?

I not even positive what exactly changed, but I hate it.
Is there any way to go back to previous version?

It seems impossible to go back to the original version

It's 4mm larger and 1 mm thicker than an iPhone X. 10g heavier with a 30% bigger battery.
Let's not pretend it's a tablet.

yeah i dont think google is much in the business of rollbacks. also find it pretty annoying. have a potential line on a free iphone x, which will be hard to pass up, otherwise idk if im sold on the pixel 3 enough to not just wait for the next samsung

There are pretty clearly 2 major sizes of phones. I call them normal and big. Pixel and XS are normal. Pixel XL and XS Max are big. I upgraded to the pixel from the Nexus 6P (big size) because it was too big. So now I know I should buy normal sized phones. OnePlus 6T is the big size. This seems pretty simple to me.

Google Launcher only for the Pixel? Looked it up on my Samsung S9 and was warned that it wasn't compatible with my device.

Would you believe I just changed from a Nokia Lumia Windows phone to an Android? Wonder how many people still are at the dead end. Cheap is good btw, got a Samsung J3.

agreed. my gf keeps buying them using straight talk and complains how slow they get, freeze, etc. im far from a "buy the new one every year" type, but after getting into the new age smartphones (i had an htc thunderbolt[first 4g phone!] for 4 years before an s6) id much rather bite the bullet, pay over time, and have a solid phone for 2-4 years. only thing wrong with my pixel is the battery seems to be dying faster than when brand new

I'm pretty pleased with the free Moto E5 Play that T-mobile gave me (See my post about 15 posts up). The phone supports a ton of LTE bands and it runs fairly CPU/GPU intense games like Minecraft and Harry Potter without any issues.

I was really surprised by it's performance given the price.

I'm wanting to get a phone that supports Android Auto Wireless, but don't want to spend a ton on it.

From what I've been able to find so far, those two things are in conflict with one another.

I currently have a Droid Turbo 2 that I like.

Any thoughts/options?

My work phone is a Samsung J5, so for getting closely the same thing got that J3 of a different color. At least it has two cameras, huge benefit! Honestly use the phone little so far, writing this on the desktop for example. My spouse and her mother got the J3 update too. So now I have a light blue, wife a golden and stepmother (asked for it) a black. Family union! The silicon case really feels good, no cold metal. And enables me to differ between the phones in the pocket without looking.

I've just got a new OnePlus 6t having had the OnePlus 3 for almost two and a half years.

I have to say that the 3 was still lightning quick even after all that time and had I not have broken the screen I probably wouldn't have bought a new one yet.

The OP6t is phenomenal... as one would expect for a brand new top of the range phone.....for about 60 percent cost of an equivalent Samsung and, in my opinion, with a far superior user experience (read: almost stock android, no bloatware, additions such as gestures have improved the os etc.)

I don't much care for a super duper camera (but this is still brilliant) nor do I listen to music via headphones so the 'cons' of the OP don't really matter to me personally. I'm pretty sure an Instagram model could happily use this camera and still get likes.

So if you are happy with just "great" photos and you have a Bluetooth headset.. Don't bother with anything else.

Cheers
