I'm on Oreo and even searching within settings for Booster got me nothing.

While security updates are always appreciated, don't sit there and list "more granularity within the notifications menu" and the deliberately ****ing REMOVE MAD GRANULARITY.

Hey you know your dark dropdown that was easy on the eyes? Yeah we went and made it all white and covered in jizz. cant change it either.

And hope you like notifications about what apps are installed on your phone that you can only "snooze" for a little bit unless you jump through hurdles. Knowing that Pandora is playing when Pandora is playing is super important.

Welp, just swapped out my Nexus 6P for a Pixel XL 128 GB. If you're still rocking the 6P, get in on the action by complaining to support about your phone shutting down at 25% battery or whatever (I am genuinely having this problem). Say you've tried running in safe mode and a factory reset, and then you're probably golden.

Fixed my weird messages notifications Categories issue by deleting app data, not too bad

Anyone have issues with catching random wifi networks that disrupts your cellular data? I recently added an ID and pw for xfinitywifi, and those hotspots are everywhere. I keep catching them with a bar or two, and they hang around for way too long (even when out of range) and prevent me from downloading data from cellular. Thought the Pixel was supposed to be good at switching between wifi and cellular

I would have this issue with attwifi because of the thousand fast-food restaurants/starbucks that use it. I had to forget the network to stop my phone from randomly connecting to it.

Is there a decent Android image editor with mspaint-like functionality that any of you would recommend? I'm looking thru various lists but would obv prefer firsthand recs.

Sadly much of what I'm seeing is filter overlay or "effects" garbage for photos. Looking for something as close to mspaint/paint.net/GIMP etc functionality as may exist. For a phone, not a tablet.

I use Sketch, which is super rudimentary but works for the stupid **** I need (crudely pasting memes/faces over pictures of my friends, etc)

ugh, glad I saw this post. my 5x is dying a slow death and was considering getting the 6P. i've had nexus phones forever and really don't want to shell out $650+ for a pixel.

From what I've read on reddit, 5x users aren't getting the replacements as easily as 6p users for some reason.

tbh, i wasn't even considering trying to get a replacement. i was thinking my 5x was over 3 years old, but its only at 1.5 years. My wifes went to complete **** a few months ago also. I may try to whine to them for a replacement.

It also sounds like they're no longer doing this replacement for 6Ps out of warranty. I got in just under the gun.

Man this is probably obvious but I just disabled:

- The persistent-ish notification for "hey you're not on wifi and you could be!"

- Basically all the notifications for google maps (transit times, traffic, etc). I wish this one was "smart" and could know things like my commute times and not bug me with traffic near me while I'm sitting at my desk. But out of the box super annoying. Also all the "are you at X location or transit stop?" stuff can just stay gone I'm pretty sure.

IIRC OP5 seems like better value, but Pixel better quality.

I have the Pixel and love it.
