Had a quick search here on 2+2 and couldn't find any thread for this. I'm currently reading this book and wanting to find players who want to talk about whats written in the book. anyone here wanna start a discussion/study group?

The book series here covers mainly two topics; stack size considerations (mostly rounds to all in considerations, e.g. when you/he is 1/3rd in, it is a break even point for going all in -- that's most of the content you will learn from this book series and you will refer to other books or/and softwares after that if you want to get that more clear and then you need to adjust it to the reality, and that's for all stack sizes) and old school post flop logical thinking (no GTO, so it might not be for you and times have changed and you have your own head also, and if you don't have, I doubt it is of any use to you) but when the stacks get smaller, in the other books, you won't find much if any postflop play and that's the biggest weakness in those books and I didn't read one of them for that reason and didn't see I have further to learn.
Considers ICM by playing tighter. Considers stack sizes not only from the all in perspectives but also who has the big, medium, small stacks. Math is some of the time used deeply when getting into considerations about all ins. A part of the hands get the opinions of all three players. These stuffs are of value also, after that first book.
You can get these infos from other sources but you get those from here also if you are ready to work through two or three of these books. That then add to your cash game ability -- the adjustments of it to tourneys deep are a bit questionable in many books as they play it kind of safe on the turn or/and river that I generally find amusing.
I don't know what most of the books of tourneys have since then. I have read just a handful of them (about 80% useless on average including the popular suggestions like kill your mama and kill some more and caller's edge) and one I read for reasons of playing vs. the all in or fold players that's pure math. but I can't remember anymore as I opted cash mainly because the one-handers haven't been scoring the last couple of years at Stars. So, who am I to try?
