maybe a dumb thread to start.. but i was commenting on another thread that my happiest experience as book buyer/reader was getting the 1st 2 dan harrington books.

i hadn't heard much of him recently. is he still in santa monica? did he make it through the credit crisis ok with riskier mortgage lending? i think that's what he did other than poker books.

i was thinking dan should write books about things like investing and sports betting, assuming he knows about those things which i think he would. or just general books about politics/current life/etc.

maybe mason can chime in.. i think dan is an amazing author. always forget his co-author bill robertie. him too.

I would like to know the same thing, although I'm guessing he's just not playing much. I called his mortgage office a few times about 10 years ago trying to get him to give me some poker lessons but he wouldn't ever call back. It's good to be king. Not many can turn down offers for getting paid to teach poker

Dan is semi-retired, enjoying life, and is doing a bunch of traveling. But I suspect we'll see him at the Main Event at the WSOP.
