Anyone have experience with upswing poker, Torelli’s Conscious Poker, or Bart hanson’s Crush Live Poker? They are all similar priced as far as monthly fee goes. I have a good job. Play live only about once or twice per week. Just want to be a winning player, maybe move up to hold my own at $5-$10 live. Thanks in advance.

I guess we could lump Jonathan Little’s site in here as well.

I liked the Upswing's free preflop table that says one can open raise T8 in the small blind (if I remember correctly). I don't train there so I don't know, just saying you could read some books and I think there is at least one Snowie book for live play also (that I haven't read).

So in other words you have zero experience with the products mentioned and this nothing to really contribute?

My semi-humor, being a combination of my knowledge and frustration.

The book, "Advanced Concepts in No-Limit Hold'em: A Modern Approach to Poker Analysis." Amazon and this forum has comments about it. Mason gave it 10/10 and I know it should be good for live games like at your desired level. I am not a Snowie fan but as an additional material for preflop play.

I am not a fan of training sites, as so much weak and random stuff and slowly to get knowledge. When one is ready to pay the 100 per month, it starts to make sense, and it is not about the money.

You want to jump there instantly. Personally, I am not taking nor ever need to take training for NLH, as there are good books and solvers.

I’ve read that book. It’s very good. And against certain players it makes sense. However, it doesn’t cover a lot of the situations one finds himself in at low stakes donkey games.

I’ve heard the latest book by Jonathan Little is perfect against players that you see at the lower stakes.....Mastering Small Stakes No-Limit Holdem. Anyone read it by chance and have any thoughts?

I can only address Crush Live Poker and I would strongly recomend it. It seems focused on low to mid stakes but BART really does do a fantastic job. He has great insight, seems pretty cutting edge and speaks in a way I can understand. I was a member of CardRunners back in the day and I dropped CR bexause I found CLP much more informative for the stakes/games I play.

I used to be a Crush Live Poker subscriber and agree with ALSChris. Bart's work is outstanding and he has so much great content. Tuchman and others are all great too. His site is very focused on live games too.

Low stakes no fold em games? Does one need the $100 plan or is the less expensive plan sufficient?
