Reading Harrington’s Original Tournament Books

Hello everyone,
Is reading Harrington’s original tournament books a complete waste of time in 2018?
Basically a novice tournament player over here, I have his original 3 tournament books and wondering if studying them will help me be competitive in todays tournaments.

All three are worth reading, and so is his new tournament book.

Do you need to read his original 3 books....or can you just go straight to his latest book?

Are his cash game Books relative to tournament play? I don’t have much interest in playing cash games at this point.
