As a practical matter, it's easier and cheaper to get many recent books (and almost all journal articles) electronically - so whether I like it or not I read a lot on-screen.
(No difference for me whether it is poker or some other subject; prefer paper, and have several thousand volumes; use ebook when it's what is available / what I can afford / what I can take with me on the road.)
I will be going on a buying spree and be picking up a few books from 2+2 and d and b. For cheapness, I go with the Kindle but if the difference is less then £2 (and surprisingly there is for at least one book) I will get the paper edition.
Also, when I was adumbrating the reasons for or against why someone would choose an electronic book over a physical one I failed to mention that loss/theft can be a pain in the backside even if you do get a replacement for your paper copy.
