Assuming you mean NL here are three which you can'y go wrong with:
No Limit Hold'em Theory and Practice - Sklansky/Miller
Super System 2 - Brunson (No it's not outdated)
Harrington on Cash Games - Harrington

For Limit:
Hold'em Poker for Advanced Players (or Small Stakes Hold'em) - Sklansky/Malmuth
Advanced Limit Hold'em Strategy - Tannenbaum
Championship Hold'em - Cloutier/McEvoy

Woke up from a coma after 18 years or so?

Janda's books for cash NLH. For NLH MTTs, Kill Everyone and 1-hand at a time series are on the top of the list. Limit Hold'em: Winning Short-Handed Strategies (2+2 tough book and Hilger's book are not bad but not necessary, the Malmuth's book was useful in 2000). PLO has the Hwang books and Mastering PLO book.

LOL, yes I guess and your coma lasted 10 years with Kill Everyone and 1-hand at a time. The only thing that may have changed in NLH is the aggressiveness, otherwise the fundamentals are still the same and always will be. Actually one thing I forgot to mention is that Cardplayer magazine is is good source of information if you want to keep up with modern trends and has good articles by reputable players.

Depends. What stakes are you playing?
I like:
The Course
Beat the Donks
NLHE Theory and Practice
Harrington's two books (I can't limit to 3 books)

I play almost exclusively NL live 1/2 and once in a while NL live 2/5.
I never play online and the times I play a tourney in a year and a half you could count on one hand.

I have Read Harrington and am currently reading the Course.
The Course seems good but unless I missed something he doesnt get that into
your game plan when you start getting 3 bet pre flop.
I have also notice Dan Harrington preaches a far tigther (almost nit style) compared to Ed Miller.

My style is closer to Harrington. I play very tight. The first part of the course, ie about the big bets they make on late streets is something we often forget. We call these too often when we should fold.

As a cash game specialist, the two books I reread the most are The Theory of Poker and The Mathematics of Poker. I lean towards books that are applicable to multiple situations and games.
