Thanks for the kind words. I just wanted to say:

I'm currently trying to figure out the best solution for the ebook. I apologize to those who want it solely in ebook form. I will have a solution by next week.

Zach

I just got mine last week and have started it. It is very good so far. I love the way Zach categorizes the tells and explains how they differ based on situations. He has written it in a way that makes it much easier to remember. Can't wait to get to Vegas and put some of this into practice!

Thanks Zach.

Spoke with Zach over the last few days and we will be carrying the paperback as soon as a new print run is out the door. Expect it on hand by the end of the month. If you order prior to its arrival, you can get a 10% discount with the coupon code RPT22.
http://www.professionalpoker.com/IP....&productID=507

We also hope to have it in e-book form when possible.

Is it not currently in paperback? Also is the new print any different? Lastly if it's an ebook does that mean I can read on my Android phone?! That would be rather sweet

When you are thinking about supporting kindle, please remember to register with different amazon countries (.co.uk, .fr etc)

It's in paperback as opposed to hardcover, but I'm guessing PP's order has to wait until more books are printed.

I don't see how anyone can read a book on a phone.

Ah, I get it. Thanks. I've got the nexus which has a 4.6" (I think) screen. I haven't tried reading a book on my phone but it sounds interesting...to me lol

All the eBooks on http://Professionalpoker.com and http://twoplustwostore.com are Android/PC/Mac/iOS compatible, but not Kindle as they wont support Adobe DRM.

We are looking into alternatives to become Kindle compatible.

My review on amazon:

"This book is simply one of the best written regarding the subject of poker tells. The author has put in a ton of work in studying tells at the tables, and put everything into a organized, detailed, easy and focused read. Two things really stuck out that make this book great. 1. The author separates tells into distinct moments of a poker hand, allowing the reader to understand that similar tells can mean different things depending on where the action in the hand is, as it relates to the bettors and streets in the hand. 2. When a specific tell is written about, Elwood describes what the player might be trying to say with his action vs. what the player is actually saying with his tells. In this way, once you study certain tells, they tend to make sense fairly quickly. Continuous discussions of poker tells and real-life situations mentioned in his blog, readingpokertells.com, make a perfect complement to this book.

Overall, one of the best contributions to poker tells that have been shared, and a must-read for the serious, or even casual player"

That sounds very review-like of course, but yes, its definitely an awesome book.

*

Just clearing up from earlier:

"1. The author separates tells into distinct moments of a poker hand, allowing the reader to understand what tells mean, and where Elwood has found them, depending on where the action in the hand is"

That is what I meant to write in the original review I gave a few posts back.

Hi, guys. I've currently got a guy working on the ebook situation. I was very surprised by the fact that Amazon takes 65% of the ebook sale if the ebook is over $10. If the ebook is less than $10, Amazon only takes 30%. It's apparently the industry's way of forcing the ebook costs very low, in order to gain control of the ebook reader market. But I digress...

So I've decided (for the time being) to offer the ebook files for sale on my website, with no DRM. Probably bundle them together as a set of files so that anyone with a major ebook reader should be able to read it. And I'll get the files on ProfessionalPoker.com, too, as promised.

I reckon it'll be about a week, maybe a little bit longer, before I have that in place. Sorry that I didn't have this up and running sooner; I thought the ebook thing would be a little simpler than what it turned out to be, and I wanted to make sure the ebooks were formatted in the best way possible.

When you do an actual new edition, you should see if you can use this as a quote on your back cover. I suggest the back cover because I'm the type who doesn't like quotes on the front cover.

It's Amazon's way which is why they're being investigated.

Have you thought about checking out Barnes and Noble's Nook? The benefits of the Nook being tied into a brick and mortar retailer is leading the fiancee and I to get one for her. She plays poker and even though I'm getting the book in physical form, she might want it in electronic form.

Between two plus two, Amazon and professional poker.com, who ships fastest for free?

I don't know the answer, but 2p2 and PP are run by the same man.

Doc T, the way I'm going to do it, anyone with a major ereader should be able to read the ebook files, including people with Kindles and Nooks. There won't be DRM, so there won't be the usual hassles people seem to complain about when DRM is present. I may eventually decide to join the money-making beast that is Amazon (and B&N), but for now I'm going to do things my way.

The files should be up in less than a week, if all goes according to plan.

Zach

I have an Android Tablet, which will allow me to have Kindle and Nook installed. Best of both words in full color.

Something to look into.

But will an Android, with Nook installed, be able to access the B&N online shop while in a B&N store and will it be able to read any book in the store without purchasing it?

Publishers should like this. Fewer store returns of paperbacks due to dog-eared pages, ceased covers, shelf wear and coffee stains.

I can't believe people damage books they don't own, but I'm the type who doesn't even damage the books I do own.

If someone wants the advantages of a dedicated eReader (lower cost, less weight, and a display easier on the eyes when reading), but needs to be able to access both the Amazon store and open Adobe DRM documents, they can still buy the Nook Touch or the Sony PRS-1. Both of them can be rooted to access the Android OS that their eReader software is actually running on. Then you can install Kindle for Android to be able to handle all formats.

I've only read the first 21 pages and I love it. I like the writing style too. I've played professionally for the past 8 years and have been a winning player for much longer. I feel that I'm a well above average reader of people and I've already learned one tell that might apply to a player I play with often. He's a tough read but this one example with "Tony" gives me something new to look for today!

This book is excellent - easily the best book written on tells.
Concise yet detailed information organised in a logical framework, which had me noticing 'new' tells at my very next live game.
In addition, I began noticing more of my own tells which I did not previously realise I was exhibiting - e.g. spending the quickest time looking at my hole cards when they were aces.
Total bargain at £15 - many thanks!
