Hello twoplustwo card community!
My name is LitFish and I would like to introduce myself. I am wanting to achieve several things to aid in my personal growth, while also giving back. I was able to come across a pretty good deal buying a lot of books, and just so happens the lot I bought contained a large percentage of poker books (tourney/cash/NL/limit/pot-limit/Omaha/stud/micro/high limit/you name it) it seemed like an amazing score; boxes upon boxes of books with names, some I recognized, some with authors who aren't familiar to me.
I already planned to work on some personal projects and commit to some goals, I believe this will be the perfect chance to advance my ability to critically review, communicate ideas, follow through with something I set my mind to reinforcing discipline; all while giving back to poker as much as any LitFish could. I have nothing to sell, I have no financial motivations, nobody telling me what to read or what to review. I am a casual poker player with a standard beginner knowledge of the game, and I am not advanced in reading or writing. I will work hard on improving my writing ability as well as sentence structure and tone throughout this journey so it will be neat to reference my early work to see just how far I have come. I have about 250 books to grab from at the moment and I plan to buy more one day. but for now, what I have is what I have. I'll be trying to do 1 book review a week. I have no idea how ambitious that is, I will maybe adjust that goal in either direction depending on how much of a time commitment that will be, what the quality is like, and the depth of my reviews will be decided as I go. I am well aware of burn-out and so I plan to balance my goals and if I recognize the symptoms, I will ease back and take breaks as necessary. So that is my commitment, for now, I plan to read a book to review every week. I know credibility is weighed, and as of right now I have none, but everyone has a voice, and a perspective and I plan to share mine.
The first book picked at random is "The Poker Puzzle", (Oliver Improva Marx).
I am excited to dive into this journey.

looks like the book is no longer maintained as a go-along with website. There are E-books out there, but the domain the author references in the book is sort of like an abandoned domain. Anyone know what happened to the author? I went ahead and purchased another copy from goodreads so i could dive into this on my kindle. Seems amazing so far. The original I guess came with 2 hours of coaching from the author which probably would have paid for the price of the book 10fold.

sounds like a cool idea. Not sure how much poker you have played but I don't know how much you will get out of more advanced books if you don't have the basics down
