Hi, Im not sure if this is the right place to post...

I just started playing about a few weeks ago. Is there a good poker book i can use to learn more about poker. Something easy to understand, i'm really new at this.

try "getting started in hold'em" by ed miller. it is for limit holdem (mostly), but covers a lot of basic ground that you will need for any holdem game.

if you find that is too much for you, then try "fundamentals of poker" by mason malmuth & lynne loomis. this is a VERY BASIC book... but if the other one is too much to absorb, start here.

if "getting started" is too basic for you, then it gets harder to know exactly what to recommend without knowing you a little better. but i will throw out a couple ideas...

"the course" by ed miller
"harrington on cash games vols 1 & 2" by dan harrington and bill robertie
"little green book of poker" by phil gordon

these suggestions MOSTLY deal with live (not online), cash (not tournament) poker. (some exceptions). these last three suggestions are all geared toward no-limit holdem... if that's not your game of choice, disregard all my suggestions!

could really throw a lot of other good titles out there at you, but these will do fine until you find your footing.

The Theory of Poker by David Sklansky is a great place to start.
Any of the Dan Harrington series will follow up nice. Harrington on Hold em for tourney play and Harrington on Cash Games for cash play. If you get this far you will have a great foundation and will know what will suit your needs best at that point. Best of luck
