PTR does track other sites including ongame and party. I havent checked in a while, but last I checked I think PTR was missing over half my hands on ongame for the period they have been tracking ongame. Party was fairly accurate iirc

His screen names are known due to his making videos on DC. As I said, those accounts are combined down about $30k at mid-stakes.

PTR is currently missing hands but he hasn't played on these accounts in the time period that they are missing, so these should still be accurate even with their server crash:

The two accounts that he used when he made DC videos:

http://www.pokertableratings.com/ful...-search/Cannes ( - $8,353 )

http://www.pokertableratings.com/sta...h/lauracecilie ( - $18,725)

And he didn't use this one for videos, but since it is the same SN as the above Stars account, is from Denmark and plays similar stakes it is probably also his: http://www.pokertableratings.com/ful...h/lauracecilie ( - $7,914 )

I am not trying to personally attack the guy, I am just looking for some answers as to how his results don't match his coaching rate/the cost of his book.

I don't necessarily want that to be the result here... if the conclusion I've reached based on his results is wrong, I'd like for him or someone he knows to clarify it

His bad results are probably due to variance.
As you can see on this site, the variance can turn a winning player into a losing player: http://www.evplusplus.com/poker_tool...nce_simulator/

True but people points to this variance simulator too often to explain bad results but the extreme results on the graph happen like 0.1% (and maybe worse) while the large majority are around their true winrate.

For 400,000 hands, even the simulator gives me results around break even for a solid 4bb winner and 5000 bb in losses for a good 2bb winner - and these are very rare cases.

That being said, I have nothing against improva or his ebook (apart from being overpriced) as I am one of the rare people who doesn't believe in actual results to judge the quality of someone's work.

I would be more concerned by the assumptions made above that he is multi-accounting...

Meh .. If you're Euro, then you have networks and different skins, so having more than one SN is perfectly legit.

I was thinking of "lauracecilie" and "Cannes", both on Full Tilt.

Cannes is proven as he made DC videos with it, but I have to add the disclaimer that I have no proof that hep layed on the lauracecilie FTP account... but it's the same exact SN as the one he used on Stars, is from Denmark, and played the same limits with similar results

Hi
Just a thought..
Why would he have made DC videos with his own accounts with his SN visible? Wouldnt it be more reasonable to assume that he just used other peoples (friend's) accounts for the videos?

So he would make videos that are proof of that?

My point is there s no proof of anything here.
You wouldnt get sued for playing on a friends account a couple of hours.

He would get banned from Fulltilt if anybody tells them that he plays from other accounts. So i dont think that he did that. One aspect that many people ignore is that poker is maybe 30% Theory and 70% Mindset. If you have not a tough mindset and cant stay calm under stress etc. you cant win at Poker. i dont want to say that he has a bad mindset because i dont know him, but especially in Poker it is very possible to be a very good teacher but only a mediocre player if you cant stay calm and focused under stress.

There are only a few basic principles and you don't have to be a good player to put those across. A really good coach will be able to help you to identify the spots to make various plays but he's unable to do that, at least for himself going by his results, so I wouldn't pay a lot for what he offers.

With the recent discussion of Improva and his book in the various Tri Nguyen/coaches should be winning players/etc discussions, I thought this thread might warrant a bump.
