I fail to understand how Amazon can price the two volumes separately at $35 bucks. Thats $70. Its really one book but because of the depth of information it is released as two volumes.

My question too Mason and Poker Mike will you be offering these volumes as one book at a preorder set price?
When does pre-order begin?

Oh baby ....let the dance begin.

Probably because they are 2 different books, and each has a cover price of $34.95 printed on it.

That price, by the way, is set by 2+2, not by Amazon. Amazon (or other sellers) may or may not discount from cover prices, depending on many variables.

And Amazon expects me to pay twice as much if I buy Kill Bill Volumes 1 and 2 as a box set of DVDs just because they were released as two separate movies. Damn that Tarantino!

$35 is way more expensive than the norm.

Aren't their books normally $30? Might not be getting these books upon release date. Gotta hope they drop in price at some point.

Please support Poker Mike and order thru him. His customer service rocks and we should support his online poker oriented store. Nothing against the big online retailers but Poker Mike caters to the poker community and does an outstanding job. See the sticky re ordering books. Poker Mike is now Professional Poker, Two Plus Two and Conjelco.

Here it is as a two pack and at a discount.
http://www.twoplustwostore.com/twopl...&productID=233

For our 2+2 forum members use the coupon code HOC22 and you will receive an additional 5% discount.

I hope to have the cover art up early in the week.

The ship date is not firm as it has not started the printing process and it could slip.

Best Regards,
Mike

I am correct in my thinking. Poker Mike is not selling the books as separate volumes because they are not meant nor never were to be sold in this manner. They are ONE book sold as one book.
They are very fairly priced at $59.
Thanks Mike for putting up the info.

While you are probably correct, I am only selling them as a two-pack during the pre-release phase so the initial shipments will go smoothly. After the pre-release orders go out I'll offer them seperately.

Another reason for the two volumes is the amount of information. Mason tells me each book will average 400 pages.

The superior bindings alone on 2+2 books justify at least half that. You can reference old books years later without pages falling out, unlike others.

Many thanks to whomever makes that decision, I appreciate it.

Damn will have to wait even longer for the book to be available in the UK don't really want to pay import taxes/customs on books from amazon.com...

No. No. NO! NO! NO! NO! NO!

You guys have this all wrong.

Mason, you must immediately increase the price of these books to no less than $45.00 each. $65.00 each would be even better. And Mike, you must cease all discount programs.

We want as few people as possible to read these books.

There are no import taxes on books coming into the UK.

If you were importing DVDs/CDs then VAT may be payable but not on books. Books have always been VAT free in the UK.
