This is possibly the saddest thing I've ever seen on the internet. The fact you are actually a parent of 2 children is worrying.

Even though Amazon's Kindle edition is slightly cheaper, I just bought the ebook directly from *Split*'s website. Can *Split* or anybody post a link for an ebook virgin like me on how to download to my devices such as Android Samsung Galaxy Tab 2, Kobo Reader, or iPod Touch?

You should have gotten a download link for a .zip which includes a .PDF, .mobi, and .epub...which you can just unzip and read any of them. There are a number of ways to read it it on your devices, but the one I always suggest is emailing yourself a copy of the .PDF and then opening it and saving it on your device. If you need any help, just email me and I'll try my best to help.

The problem with PDF is that it's usually fixed format, i.e., the text doesn't reflow. For Android there are free epub readers at the Play Store, I use one called Moon+ Reader.

Thanks for the replies. After I get the Moon+ Reader app for my Galaxy Tab 2, how do I get the .mobi file there? Clicking on the Gmail .mobi attachment did not do anything on my first try.

Do any of the files allow highlighting and making notes like a good old-fashioned paperback?

Well, mobi is for kindle, Moon+ reads epub. You can also connect your tab via USB, move the epub file there and then import it in the reader software.

I'm not sure about highlighting since I don't use it, but I'm sure there are some readers that support it.

No worries.

Actually I was thinking... if you use DRM we probably need a different reader.

There is no DRM on the book

This book is THE bomb, James!

I first watched your videos posted on pokerbank and found them very insigthtful. You digged into poker situation analysis deeper than any other coach known to me. After that i wondered maybe this guy has a book published and sure you do.
"Dynamic Full Ring Poker" = my best poker skill investment so far. I read it twice. First time pretty briefly to get the main concepts; second time did it slowly with pad/pen ready for taking valuable notes and still feel like i grasped only 50% of things you talking about. Some chapters helped me fix my leaks, others gave me deeper understanding of things i was doing by instinct, but couple of pieces were so mind-blowing and ground-breaking i could not read farther until new information is digested. That is such a trip sometimes, man.

Your explanation of poker decision mechanics/logic is outstanding. Seems like before i read this book i have been playing some different game, some quasi-poker...

Personally i would not recommend this book because of one simple reason - it is TOO GOOD to be exposed to general poker population. Imagine seating at full-ring cash game with 8 other players who have all the weapons you gave them in "Dynamic Full Ring Poker". That would be hell

P.S. This is my 1st post on 2+2 forums.
I've been observer for couple of years but today decided to register and say "THANK YOU, James" in person.

If i ever win televised poker tournament - better watch my interview, i'll be mentioning you as one of the reasons why i won

If you could only have one book to learn NLHE this would be the one. I have a lot of poker books, videos and PDFs. This one combines more information and explains it in a usable way better than any other I've read. I bought the Kindle version but I think I'm going to get the hard copy as well. Great Book! Thanks James.

Have to take some time off from the tables due to life variance.

Been hitting the study super hard.

Does this book translate well into live poker?

Yes, I think so.

INMHO it does not (at least not at the 1/2 level). I believe that the majority of the book is geared specifically to on line play (many references to Hold'Em Manager etc.)

I believe it does translate to live. The concepts are solid. You can bluff a bit more in live poker (attacking limpers etc.) but awareness of SPR and having a plan when you get involved applies at all levels. Its not a magic wand with information that you cant find elsewhere(Sklansky) but it is easier to follow than a lot of books with similar stuff.

It would depend on whether or not it has been stored in a dry place.
