This is one of the best no-limit books I have purchased and I have purchased too many of them. As Theory of Poker did for me, this book has offered insight into areas I had never considered. I have finished the book in its’ entirety but now am rereading in a chapter by chapter study. I highlight, make notes and then realize this book is the epitome of you don’t know what you don’t know. I think Dan Harrington’s two books are the gold standard for introductory books for no-limit, Theory Applied is my new gold standard for an in-depth review of all the topics touched upon by Mr. Harrington. The thoroughness and depth of material is honestly very easy to overlook. It also has lead me to purchase one of the few 2+2 books I passed upon, DUCY. I see many people asking questions like will this help my 1-2 or my online game; the answer is a resounding yes! If you are playing no-limit Texas hold-em, this book will pay for itself immediately. If you are looking to be spoon fed an ABC strategy, nope not for you; however, if you want to learn how to think about this game don’t hesitate. Just buy it. You have to put in the work, you have to think a little bit if you are willing to do that then this book is going to open you up to know what you don’t know. 10/10 in my humble opinion. I was a big fan of NLHTAP, this book is my 2019 replacement or maybe just addition to Theory and Practice. Either way, can’t reccomend it enough.
