Hi guys, Im am sure this may have been covered but I searched and couldnt find any real info on this subject. I am looking for a book for cash games that uses a format similar or the same as "winning poker tournaments one hand at a time" by apestyles, rizen, and pearljam. I really like this style of teaching and really would be interested if someone did a book like this focusing only on cash game hands. If there are any books out there like that please let me know. thanks guys and sorry if this has been covered.

Easy Game is really good. It was written in 2009 and adapted in 2011. The bet sizes are off compared to today's, but that doesn't really get in the way of anything and the concepts are the same.

Is that by balugawhale? I saw volume one for free after doing a simple google search. I can't imagine it being all that helpful for a live low stakes player with experience

So you found a pirated version and think because it's free it won't be helpful? Did you know he is up to volume 3?

Don't you think it's bit closed minded to right a book off because you can't imagine it being helpful? I mean you have been playing for years and are still looking to get better so maybe the book can help you? If you already know everything it won't but I would be willing to bet you don't know everything, hence the reason you are looking for books.

I would tell you my recommendations but I can't imagine them being all that helpful for a live low stakes player with experience like yourself

thanks for the needle. My point is, if there is a free volume one out the content isnt that ground breaking and is very fundamental. Im not saying its not good work or wouldnt help me I am just pointing out that I skimmed over and feel like I am looking for something a little more recent and solely directed to analyzing a poker hand from preflop to the flop to turn to the river

Well that is why he has volume 3 out. I can also find a free version of many books but that doesn't mean they are outdated. You found a pirated version of the book correct?

You skimmed over it and you can tell if it is relevant or not? LOL. No offense but how are you going to get better at poker by skimming over things. If you are looking to get better I guarantee you there are things in that book that will improve your game. If you just wanted a different format fine but to say you imagine it won't be useful is pretty ignorant IMO.

Best of luck finding a book that suits your needs. I'd recommend looking at puggy neutrons books on Amazon. I would imagine they would help you.

Poker Plays You Can Use by Doug Hull is a good hand-based book

Poker Plays You Can Use and Red Chip Poker Late Position by Doug Hull and others
No Limit Hold'em Hand by Hand - Neil Myers
How Good is Your Pot Limit Hold'em - Byron Jacobs (it is on Pot Limit Hold'em but close enough)
Beat the Donks - Steve Selbrede

these are the books I am aware of that have hand analysis throughout the book for cash games

There is no book quite like Winning Poker Tournaments One Hand At A Time for cash.

I think the book you are looking for is "Critical Concepts" by Dusty Schmidt. It may be a little above the low limit games, but has 50 or so various hands and how he approached each one. Good luck

Easy Game is really good.
Have only read the 3rd edition, but it is easily one of my favourite books (got quite a large poker library).
