Cardrooms: Everything Bad Cardrooms: Everything Bad

Hi Everyone:

I'm putting this both here and on our News, Views, and Gossip Forum.

I'm currently in the process of writing a new book tentatively titled Cardrooms: Everything Bad; An Analysis of Those Areas Where Poker Rooms Need Improvement. And since I'm trying to cover all topics that need to be covered, if any of you have any suggestions, please post them here. And this is for live poker.

Thanks,
Mason

Stuff to do with dealers: from casinos allowing dealer abuse to dealers not intervening when players are being verbally abused by other players. I remember an instance when a new (as in had not played before in his life) player wanted to to sit in a 10-20 limit game and one player made it his duty to keep him from sitting down because he would "only slow down the game." The dealer shut up and said nothing. Generally: dealers should be bestowed with and wield more authority.

Hi Spielmacher:

I don’t think this is the dealer’s responsibility. But the brush who assigns the seat to the player is supposed to make sure that the player is able to properly get into his seat, so I think the fault goes there. Also, if you’re a serious poker player who wants to win money, blocking a novice player from taking a seat is just stupid.

Best wishes,
Mason

Let's start with "outrageous rake and bad beat jackpot drops" and probably that's the start and end of it

Hi Rusty:

This will be addressed, and it's hurting poker.

It is available on Kindle Unlimited. Pretty sure this is an issue with Amazon, formatting on the kindle version is messed up. Best way I can describe it. Table of contents is messed up, some jumbled text, things like that.

Hi adios:

We’ll check it out. When we reviewed the book on the kindle previewed it was fine.

Best wishes,
Mason

Okay. We just checked it out. On the iPhone the Table of Contents is jumbled up, but you can still follow it through. The rest of the book (on the iPhone) is fine.

On the tablet and kindle reader, it looks fine.

So, I don't think there is any reason for us to change anything.

Best wishes,
Mason
