Hey guys,

is there any book that describes a complete poker strategy that is strong enough to reach NL200 profitably in today's online no limit 6 max cash games, if you only know the concepts described in this one book?

Alternatively, could you recommend a series of books, that you can accomplish this goal with?

Thanks for any reply from long-run winning players, no matter what limit, in advance.

Dan Harrington's book on online 6-max cash games is very good. It is a twoplustwo book.

It is kind of old. Do you use his advice successfully?

I owned the book shortly after it came out.

It is "old", but using Harrington's advice should get you winning up to $1/$2, which was what you were looking for.

I haven't played a lot of full-stack six-max, so my sample size is meaningless.
I didn't win or lose much either way .

Harrington writes good, solid stuff. 2+2 doesn't publish junk; winning at $1/$2 should be doable.

Playing a lot of hands and sharing difficult hands in the NL ring forum here at 2+2 helps a lot.

Thanks for your advice. Harrington is very advanced I think.

Harrington starts with strategies to beat nanostakes, then walks you through the more advanced strategies required to beat higher stakes.

Lots of advice on using a HUD, too.

Hmm. I am not sure if I would recommend Harington's book for higher stakes cash games, but it really depends on what is your starting point.

From everything I have seen, I would say, Matthew Janda - Application of No-limit Holdem is a better option. But you can always find poker book list and pick something you like the most

The Grinder's Manual by Peter Clarke. Get 100 hands by the same author too. Very well-written plus more up-to-date than Harrington books.

I suspect that the Harrington book is sufficient to win up to $1/$2.

Not online. Maybe live as the standard of play live takes years to catch up

Hello.. register on upswing poker. Read super system 2 for fundamentals. Then get ready for a hellish grind. Remember, youll never move up from this stake if you dont 8 table, use huds, and run like Jesus himself. This literally is harder than 2 4. All of the european regs can only afford 1 2 it seems. 1 2 is more difficult than 50 100 live to beat long-term. Anyone doing it doesnt realize how big the horse shoe is up their ass.

edit- remember about upswing, that if you want 6 max, they literally got the only two pros to crush it the last 10 years. Doug beat HU hypers for millions. They got some amazing mixed game talent. I dont like their plo ****, but maybe it will help you.

So I wanted some suggestions myself so I typed and searched for best books for online poker 2020 and found interesting articles .. like this , I picked The Mental Game of Poker by Jared Tendler, first book is actually the book guy wrote, so yeah, gotta put his advertisement in there, haha. But - the mental games of poker is also mentioned in comments, so I am about to try it, since its quarantine time.
here are videos to watch, it was recommended to me, I only watched first one, but I will watch others. I still read honest guides or reviews to keep my basic knowledge on point.. which is also mentioned in the article five ways to keep your poker game sharp during quarantine - I liked this one a lot. SO if youre bored during the quarantine time, read and watch it with me lol

No books.

If you can beat 200NL 6max in today's climate for any reasonable winrate you are an expert.

Ssnl hold'em by ed miller with sunny methabis a good one. A bit outdated but the ideas and general approach are presented aolodildly and and take a really practical approach.

Easy Game (Andrew seidman) isn't quite worth it's lost price but it's very articulate and presents ideas in a unique fashion. I'd call this one an under rated gold mine.

Course these are both older, but they apply to today's game if you make natural adjustments.
