To get from the second to the third line, you need to combine the like terms (Pcall). For example,

1x + 1x = 2x
190x + 45x = 235x
-190x - 45x = -235x
-190(Pcall) - 45(Pcall) = -235(Pcall) = (Pcall) * (-235)

Will this book be good for me if I'm an more or less experienced NL100 6max player?
Its only $30 for a hard copy, so I'll go for it if you recommend it!

Absolutely. If you play against thinking opponents this book is great. If you play against complete mouth breathers then you have to filter out what applies and what involves too much leveling. Overall though this book is excellent.

I am only about 1/3 of the way through the book so far, but NL100 6max is the exact game type and level that I think might benefit most from this book.

Just got this book in the mail haven't read anything yet but It appears to be much nicer quality than past 2+2 books. The spine on alot of my 2+2 books tend to crack and break and this looks like its put together much better.

Are these still in stock? Appears to be out at amazon. How long does it take to arrive from 2+2? Can we get a list of chapters and a brief description of each? Also, any background info on the author would be nice? Thanks.

It seems that Amazon has some copies in stock again. You can always order a copy from the 2+2 store, they should always have it in stock.

There was a preliminary table of contents published in the August issue of the 2+2 magazine. There have been some small changes, but it is still largely correct.

The hand range section at the beginning is great no matter what level of game. It's a good book, and you're sure to learn quite bit. Buy it.

I got my copy of this book through vanstockum.nl about two weeks ago

Got it through yesterday and am about two thirds of the way through my first read.

I am very pleased with the content overall, and think it deals with a potentially difficult area well and all the maths, range calulations and charts are all layed out clearly making it very readable. I am a low stakes player so I am not sure how far it goes in the aim of it's title to crush midstakes, as I am imagane a lot of this material is very familiar to people at that level. I would say though, there is a lot covered in here, though a lot is fairly basic, there is also plenty to get your teeth into, and for those willing to use the information given toward futher study and work on their games instead of just relying on examples given, I imagine it would really help to make a you tough player to play against.

There are certainly some good discussion points in the text, so am pleased to see a discussion thread on here.

From what I've read so far the book is extremely good.

Thanks for writing it Thomas.

I'm about 60 pages into it. Pretty damn good so far other than that I've seen at least three minor typos over that fairly small number of pages. Is proofreading a dead art?

Ok this book is limited only by the work you put into it. Well worth the wait!

Here is a review posted on Amazon:

I can't believe he is selling this book on Amazon for this price. I have bought ebooks on the internet for over 1k that are not as good as this one.
I didnt want to tell everyone how good this book is because it will just make the games out there harder. But I need to give credit to the author. Amazing

I know someone who would enjoy a reading copy of this, and who probably wonders why Amazon's picture of it is all blurry and dark

maybe you should start two new threads?
1. about ordering the book, and for all those people who need to let everyone know what they thought of the first 60 pages.
2. a thread for substantive discussion about the book. for people who really read the whole book......

Great response amulet, I just do not see why people review the part of the book they read and then never finish it. I would like to see a thorough review of the book in its' entirety. BTW as soon as I am finished with Harrington 6 max, I will be tackling ANLHE. I will post on both individually once I have completed each one.

ICWUDT.

So no one has read the book in its entirety and is willing to post a review?
