Hi Everyone:
First though, we have not yet heard from all our Cover Contest cover providers to get their five free books. So those of you who have not yet replied, please send me a PM with your selections and address.
As for the contest, we have decided to award four winners. Three will be for our next three books, and a fourth will be a winner up prize. However, we at 2+2 want to state again that virtually every cover submitted was just terrific, and it's possible that at sometime in the future, even if you were not a winner, we may send an inquiry to see if a specific cover design is still available.
Also, we want to give a special thanks to Gonso for all the help he provided. And now on to the winning covers.
For the designers of the winning covers, we'll need you to do a little more work to finish up the cover. So send me another PM with your email address and I'll get back to you. Also, please include you mailing address so that we can send a check for $500.
For the Philip Newall book,
Further Limit Hold 'em, we have selected
This cover was one of many terrific covers done by unborn, and we feel it does a good job of conveying the idea that
Further Limit Hold 'em is exploring into new territory in an effort to increase EV.
The next winning cover will be for our newly announced book
Applications of No-Limit Hold 'em; A Guide to Understanding Theoretical Sound Poker by Matthew Janda. The cover selected is:
and it was submitted by ninetynine99. Not only is it a terrific design, but we feel it also does a good job of representing the depth of material in this book.
Our third first prize winner is:
This was submitted by Reaper421 and he used the words "War at the poker table." It will become the cover of our next Harrington book which is going to be on tournaments -- we don't yet have a working title. I think everyone will agree that this cover certainly does convey the message of "war at the poker table" which is exactly what happens in poker tournaments.
Again, all three of these winners will receive a check from 2+2 of $500. But we need for all of you to contact me so I can let you know what needs to be done to finish the covers.
And finally, we have decided to award a $200 winner-up prize for this submission from OMGuraBOT:
If we had a fourth book in the pipe line, we would definitely want to use this cover, and hopefully, when we do go ahead with a fourth book, this will be our cover, and at that time we will increase the prize to $500. So please contact me as well.
Finally, we at 2+2 want to once more thank all of you who participated in our Cover Contest. As already stated, the quality of all the covers was just terrific, and virtually every cover submitted was of the quality that we want for our books.
Best wishes,
Mason
