The hiker icon is a modified version of an image found on a royalty free site. Could possibly make something just like it. Cheers!

Ok, so the green files are smaller just because the colors got messed up when I uploaded bigger versions
Edit: Just wanted to point out that I'm bad at uploading and the images not are as sharp as the original files which are high res and more detailed

If you're looking for opinions, here's mine...

My faves, in order of submission:

#34, first one:

#59

#120

#134, red background

#152

I also like the concept of the puzzle, but I didn't list it because something about the execution just didn't grab me.

The ones I listed could use some tweaking here and there, but are great.

The rubik's cube is the most eye-catching, and a recognizable concept that applies to the subject. To me this could be the winner with a little work, because it immediately conveys the subject matter.

The card maze is also a standout for a similar reason, and it ties more into poker specifically rather than just cards because of the chip stack.

The color-mapped spade seems the most complete to me and quite original, but a bit more abstract than the rubik's cube, or card maze.

Most of the entries were great, some quite beautiful, but these seemed to be the ones that would make the book stand out more compared to other poker books.

I had my own idea, but don't have the time to execute it.

I wish everyone the best of luck with the contest!

I wonder if there might be a trademark issue given it is based on Rubik's Cube.

Thanks for the feedback and advice all.

Revisions:

• Adjusted the type
• Rearranged the maze to fit Philip's name at the bottom
• Colored the chips
• Darkened the red
• Added a little blue to the background

That's a good a point. If that was an issue, this new design would be fine to use

So many good submissions in the thread. There's probably enough quality choices to cover 5 years' worth of 2p2 books already.

Hope to see even more before the deadline too.

To me, the title and author are too far down on the cover.

The moebius strip represents a model of the ever-changing twists and turns associated with the flop, turn and river. One can even begin to imagine the moebius model morphing into an even more complex version with five individual strips that swirl and intermingle – a randomized, ever-changing cosmic shuffle.

The galaxial backdrop represents yet another model, that of the universe used to explore and further our knowledge of the complexities of our very existence – both at and away from the poker table.

The five-sided Rubik's cube is another model that represents the multitude of twists and turns associated with the flop, turn and river. One can imagine the wide variety of twists and turns of the cube that randomize the outcome of the cards.

The backdrop shows a poker table rail that recedes further into the background. Read together, the composition evokes the exploration and further study of the game required to win the battle along the rail.

* Look for the non-logo 2+2=4 references in each cover design...

So this is my last submission. It was an older idea some weeks ago and i almost dropped it into the trash... yesterday i decided to give it a go again.
It was a real fun to create the covers and a huge learning experience. GL to everyone.

Thanks again for the heads up, I looked on their site and it probably would be an issue.

My other designs definitely not in their shop though:

Man, the industry's three decades of hackneyed poker covers washed away in one thread. Y'all will be able to peddle the runners up to the other shops.

Needs a picture of Phil looking old enough to vote.
