The fundamentals of the game are the same.

Verneer had a thread last year covering his attempt to go from $200 to $10 000 playing RUSH on FTP.

I wonder if there are more profitable ways to play AA than shoving pre, nobody has called my preflop shove yet...

correction, KK called me and hit a set and stole my 200bb stack...

How are you finding out your total hands? Is it just HEM that doesn't work?

If there are any other Zoom players using a Mac with PT3 then there's bad news on the hud front.

"Mac OS specifically prevents applications interacting in the way that PokerTracker needs to interact with PokerStars in this case"

Not what I wanted to hear. Time to consider running windows in a VM or using boot camp maybe

They do but you have to wait for a raise for it to show up. You should never be looking to fast fold the BB pre not facing a raise anyway.

You should'nt have a MAC for poker anyway. Get rid of it and buy a PC.

im getting stuffed. $80 down. Dont know what I can do differently yet. Are you guys zooming along (ho ho ho ) or are you ctrl + folding so you can see the action and make notes? It occurs to me that I should slow down and make a ton of notes. Any suggestions for how notes should go?

Easy game so far, so much robot play going on from people, if you played rush on FT and you were OK at it, you have an advantage here.

When people DONT HAVE IT, its much easier to spot as they always give up after C betting the flop when you call.

Mind you ive only played 300 hands so what do I know?

Used to play 100nl FR on FT. Managed to lose 4 buyins on 5nl Zoom yesterday but won 5 today lol.

I've only played 2 half hour sessions and lost money in both, mainly due to being card dead, and getting coolered by rivered sets when I had an overpair.
The lack of a HEM HUD and the difficulty in making notes means I'm not a fan yet.
It's made me realise just how worthwhile my usual notes are (I make a lot). Against random donks, I just don't know where I'm at.
The normal 2NL tables are just as fishy as ever, thankfully, but it will be interesting to see if ring game action dries up once Zoom is promoted more widely.

I would only take notes on regs and only at a level I suspect I will play on.

As of now, playing 2 NL and 5 NL I don't care. I do ctrl + fold sometimes just to get an idea of what randoms shows down in certain spots.

But with a 1500 player pool it will take a long time to get any meaningful sample on somebody. So I don't think it matters not having a HUD or notes because they aren't all that useful. That will change when Stars add the small stakes tables as they will be much more reg infested.

One thing I do use a lot is that if somebody has <100 bb he is likely a recreational player and I will try to exploit him by valuebetting thinner and 3-betting wider for value.

Whatever you used to do at 2 NL and 5 NL that got you winning there should work as well in zoom.

I don't know what hands you're playing but you might be playing too aggressively like I was before, maybe try playing more tight passive.
