Hi guys,

I've played poker on and off for a while now, but I want to try and get better in zoom as I feel building a stronger base there will help in many other aspects of my game.

I've started by putting together some basic PFR ranges to try and stick by, although I do understand that they won't always apply depending on things like stack sizes, opponent history, etc.

To start, I'm sitting in the micros. This is an important point as the ranges I've built below I feel are more open than they'd be at something bigger like 50NL.

Could I please have some feedback on these and if they appear to be a bit too open or lose for the position? I know my UTG range is quite lose, but for 6-max zoom, I think it's okay.

Thanks!

UTG: 22+, A4s+, A7o+, KJ+, QJ
MP: 22+, A4s+, A7o+, KJo+, K10s+, QJ, J10s, suited connectors above 45
CO: 22+, A2s+, A6o+, K9o+, K7s+, Q10+, J9+, suited connectors above 34
Button: 22+, Ax+, K6+, Q8+, J8+, suited connectors above 34
SB: 22+, Ax+, K4+, Q7+, J8+, suited gapped or fully suited connectors

Offsuit aces are way too lose for UTG and MP imo. I'm opening AJo+ from UTG and ATo+ from MP personally.

What cookedfish says + check every 100k hands if your openranges are profitable and throw out what's not working.

Interesting. What about suited aces? Those are fine from your perspective?

I'd play a suited ace from any position. Personally I feel very comfortable playing them. But I'm a noob myself so don't listen to me.

Your EP/MP ranges look pretty bad. Hands like JTs and A3s play much better than A7o or 33. You need more "nut-making potential", so suitedness and connectedness is very important. Small pairs and offsuit aces flop really badly OOP, so are usually just folded UTG.

You can find pretty decent charts just by searching google, or looking at any of the training sites (e.g. Upswing, Best Poker Coaching).
