Maybe i am just ignorant, but I am livid.

well not that livid, seeing as the money in WSOP is fake lol

I have been playing the free WSOP game and have been doing fairly well. I was playing a few minutes ago and as the last card turned, I completed a flush.

I went all in, of course, and so did the only guy left at the table

I lost

he only had a 3 of a kind.

am I missing something??

I'm quite sure. The game spells out what everyone gets. I had flush, he had 3 4's. Lost a million internet bucks lol

Ive been playing free money on that site for about 1 year. I play for real money in a casino too. Its a good site to practice that's about it. I never seen so many lucky river cards in my life. A guy will get exactly the card he needs to beat you. Lot of 4 card straights and set up hands. But i gotta tell ya. I have fine tuned my game on that site. Learned a lot. I went from 6million 30 days ago to 400m today. Have never had a losing day during this stretch. Play about 5 times per week. They should rename it world series of river cards

The moment I saw the thread title, I thought "Villain made a boat".
A flush is less strong when the board is paired. e.g. if the board was something like 976K9, then villain will have a full house (not trips) if he has KK, K9, 97, 96, 77, 66.

Don't worry too much. I've been playing for years and I still sometimes get so excited about rivering a flush that I don't notice the board has paired.

Nope, clear case of Occam's Razor (https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Occam%27s_razor).
Only 2 real options to this:

Either someone with great technological skills committed multiple federal felonies by remotely hacking into the WSOP system or someone personally infiltrated the WSOP server room, the WSOP's ISP server room or your ISP server room a la Tom Cruise in Mission Impossible all to steal $1,000,000 fake WSOP credits from you.

Gotta be one of those.
