do like he says, the 10% rake of 10NL will kill you on Full Tilt. Switch to stars until you're rolled for 25NL, then go back to FTP if you want to
Stars has nanostakes cash games you can already play with that roll (2NL, 5NL)

I ran at 14bb/100 playing 2nl then dropped to 7.85bb/100 at 5nl. Did your bb/100 improve at 5nl?

DataKid and others - it has been touched on by other posters but is important - decide what your bankroll is and go from there. You do not have to deposit an extra $50 now to bring it close to $200. Provided you are willing to re-deposit then your BR is larger. It may be that you could lose $200 and you would re-deposit another $200. In which case your BR is actually $400. Don't fall into the trap of underestimating your BR. Be honest with yourself and decide what your BR is going to be and go from there. It may not all be on one site at the moment but that doesn't matter.

so i am at the wrong site
but i don't feel it when i am playing
sometimes i lose in cashgames, offcourse.. But i get my BR up every week..

So ..yeah..dont know what to do with it now, at this point

You could get someone with money on both sites to transfer the money for you. I'm assuming you would want a transfer from Full Tilt to PokerStars. If you're talking about ~$100, I would do this for you. PM me.

DataKid, if you are happy there and winning it is not compulsory to change sites. WCGRider has given some excellent advice and is saying that the rake is better at Stars at these levels and he is correct. However, don't take everything stated here as a must do. Good guidelines but as I said, if you are happy then continue.

Tnx for the offer S.!

Hm
maybe i should deposit 100$ on stars, playing SnGs on FTP with my 100$, and start the lowest stakes at stars..

Then..if im at 500$ deposit it all to FTP

I am playing at full tilt and I was wondering if I wanted to create a Stars account in order to play some tournaments there but still spend most of the time on FT - is there something to consider when first signing up by Stars? I know they offer no rakeback but maybe there are some other offers i dont know about. thanks!

Hi Ramjet, I am pretty sure you can get something (maybe $50 + other goodies) but not certain exactly what. If others don't reply ask in the affiliate forum.

They have a $50 first deposit bonus that you must enter a code in a box to receive. Very easy bonus to clear.

100$ is 150$?

etc?

No, you deposit $50 or more and you get $50 after earning enough FPPs.

What is the difference between 400$ and 500$

Cause i read in the cashgame section:

100$-500$: GET YOUR ASS OF FTP

>500$: NOW you should play at FTP

So.. What is the 100$ difference gonna matter?

Just curious

if you get over $500 you are well rolled (> 20 full buyins) for 25NL which is the first level where the rake is reasonable on FT.

The max buy in on the 0.10/0.25 table is 50$

So you have 10 buy ins?

with 400$

you have 8?

or am i miscalculating?

That's the max for the deep stacked tables, which are pretty new on Full Tilt. When people are talking about buy-ins for bankroll considerations, they are usually talking about standard buy-ins, which are 100 big blinds (or $25 at 0.10c/0.25c).

So..

If i have 400$ i am little underrolled to play at the 0.25 tables and with 500$ i am overrolled at the .25 tables?

Edit:

but

if i have 400$, and I dont play with max buy in, but, let say.. 10$ (with max buy in of 25$), then it is okay to play at 0.25

And ive i get under the 375
then i should move down to the 0.10, right?

why would you want to buy in with 40bb???
Why you suck at uNL Part Two: Bankroll Management Quote

No, i don't want to buy in for that amount

I want to know where i can play, on what stakes..

If i have 400$, can i play at 0.25$? If so? Can i do this with a full buy in (25$) or should i play with less (say 10$)

The topic says i don't have an amount to play with at FTP.. but i can't understand that its bad to play at FTP with 400$ and its very good to play with 500$ ..

it is 100$ difference.. So i'm checking for myself how i should aply it.

DataKid, dont try to squeeze the numbers to find a reason why you would be "allowed" to play at NL25.

1/ You can of course "take a shot" with 400$ at NL25. Nothing bad with that, but you need to be able to move down if things go wrong.

2/ The 20 buy in rule, is not really changed if you decide to play YOURSELF with a 40bb stack instead of the "traditionnal" 100bb buy in. Because when you think of it, the pots at the table will be of the same size, the blinds are still the same 0.10/0.25 wether YOU play with 40bb or not.
Because if we push this reasonning to the extreme, then why not play NL100, say, if you buy in only for 10$. But this is of course not true.
The 20 buy in rule is based on MAX buy ins.

Take shots maybe, but be aware this is shots we are talking about.

And if you take shots at NL25, you dont HAVE to buy in for the max amount, but there is nothing wrong if you DO buy in for the full amount.
