I have to agree with Rider, I
really like your avatar, phydaux.
Much better than the razor balde you had before. I admit mine is a bit unsettling, but your reaction is very strong.
To Sawed-off, does it really matter where the advice comes from as long as it's good advice? What difference does it make if Rider is a pro or an amateur or a shmuck off the street. He's saying to be honest with your real results and that's good advice. I believe most people ignore it to their detriment. Most poker players treat poker like roulette or slots or any other casino game. They play to hit that jackpot. And when they talk about their trip to Vegas, they tell people about that big jackpot they hit and leave out all the losses they've accumulated.
Being a winning player is more than just winning occasionally--you need to win overall. If you're lying to yourself and everyone else about your results, you might as well be playing baccarate.
For me personally, I'll take all the advice I can get. I'm currently playing 25NL and working on moving up. Advice from someone that started out playing 1c/2c like me and worked their way up is excatly what I want to hear. Keep it coming.
