What strategy to use at live 1-2 What strategy to use at live 1-2

I am planning to grind 1-2 live holdem no limit at my local casino.

What is the best strategy to use?

Jonathan Little?
Alec torreli ''exploitative play, funnel hand reading''?
Doug polk ''solid basic poker with little changes depending on the player''?

Generaly speaking I get like a lot of limpers, a lot of raises to 12$ preflop... what do you suggest for the 1/2 no limit? Any string of videos you suggest by your own understanding that would be the best strategy?

There is an entire forum dedicated to low limit live NL HERE

I'd also suggest Ed Miller's "The Course"

'Grinding' 1/2 NL ... What are your goals? Are they realistic for your casino and it's player pool? How much have you played there already and how quickly will they adapt to you playing more often?

I think 1/2 NL can be more difficult than some of the higher stakes games I sit down to play. You need to be very aware of all the player types, stack sizes and unpredictable play that will occur.

There is no 'one way' to play 1/2 live NL because the 'best' strategy can change from hand to hand. There are some players that I just 'refuse' to give chips to without other factors in play as well.

If you play aggressively you will find that you can control most of the action PF, but is that the best way to profit? Most 1/2 players will just sit back and 'expect' you to do your thing .. and then pick you off in the larger pots or shove their short stack into you when they reach their limit.

1) Constantly change things up from all positions
2) Pay attention to stack sizes
3) Know your player types
4) Don't send chips to chairs where they wont get back into play for an hour
5) It's hard to be table captain for 'lots' of hours
6) Recognize when your play or the cards change .. Don't force the play
7) Leave 'fancy play syndrome' in the car unless you have a really good live read on the player. Plenty of 1/2 players will actually say "I know you have that flush, but I'm calling anyway." They can be stubborn with relatively small amounts of cash tied up in their chips.
8) Don't be afraid to leave when the table wont provide good opportunities.

There is lots of information here on this site. Use the search tool. Look at the Chipstack Thread. Find some of the 'testimonial' threads. They may appear to be dated, but even though some of the strategies have evolved pay closer attention to the emotional and mental aspects they are describing.

Let us know how you're doing ... GL

all of the above but tend to mostly have the best hand before you do anything.
