Just wondering if anyone had a guess as to what % of cash game players use a HUD? I am assuming as you progress up the stakes, the % also goes up (to a certain point?. Let's apply this to 6 max games only (since that is what I play).

So how many players out of 6 use a HUD at the following levels:

50NL?
100NL?
200NL+?

Also, what about the higher stakes guys at 5/10 and 25/50. Since the player pool shrinks drastically at these levels, I would imagine that HUDs actually become less important.

not very many, id estimate about 3.50%

lol if this wasnt a beginners thread i would explain why I laughed but usually it ends up being an infraction so ill keep it at that.

I'd say 30% is a good estimate.

Probably over 80% imo for all levels, almost everyone including some noobs use a hud. It should make little if any difference as to how you play them.

Do they really help your game that much? Or player that are unconfident in there game??

Why wouldnt you have a hud?

I doubt most fish use a HUD, and then there are some regs who don't use one either for whatever reason, so there's a pretty good amount out there who aren't using one.

Using and understanding how to leverage the use of your hud is the main reason of success for the vast majority of poker players. It speeds up you learning so fast it often pays for itself in days. The fact that it is so cheap is just amazing imo.
I think I would be a winning player without a HUD but the day I got my first poker software (called poker copilot for mac) I instantly found and fixed a bunch of leaks in my game.
You can not underestimate how valuable it is, it is better than any book or poker video for the same price.

Under 40% I would guess, but as said already I think you'd be crazy not to use one.

Given the fact that there are so many free HUDS out there o_o along with tons of free trials. I don't see why 50%+ don't have one.

Strictly 6-max speaking- [vpip: 20-28, pfr:18-25] most of these "tag-like" people would have one. . . I think most people who know an idea of hand ranges<--, as well as taper their hand ranges based on position would have one. Free Trials+Sign Up offers + Random Free Huds. Not surprised if 60%+ of 25nl have it and 30%+ 2-10nl have it. prob 80%+ of 50nl and upwards.

But then again, It's not whether you have a penis or not, it's how you use it. (please pick up on the analogy)
There are Hudless guys that own souls (boywonder), and of course there are fully HUD-ed, idiots calling your 3bets left and right out of position just because your 3betting a non-polarized range. Course then there's guys who raise you on every flop just because your cbet is 80%+ and they see oh 20% fold= Profit 4:1 if he raises 3x ur bet size ooh profit! Ignoring board texture + your hand range from certain area + whether or not your isolating fish/stealing or w.e that may affect your range.

What I'm trying to say is. . .

does it Matter? o0. if someone use HUD or not?

1)Higher stakes I'd imagine people use more huds but are less hud-dependant.
2)HUD gives the cumulative of how a person plays against everyone not just you.
3)Lower stakes = more player pool = less times person plays against you; however unlikely for people to make adjustments since they can just go find fish instead of playing regs.

I mostly play 2NLH (I'm a noob ) and I even have a HUD.
