plo cash or mtts, but the real answer is whichever you enjoy playing most. you'll have to play/study hundreds of hours before you start making real money, which will be hell if you don't really like the variant you play.

Either NLHE cash, for practice / skill building, with an eye towards playing live, or PLO cash with an eye towards playing online or live.

You can try all of them for peanuts and you can definitely improve one game by studying another.

live mtts are the most fun and can be profitable for a casual reg player.
