Video Embeding ? For forum

Hey guys, I'm trying to post a YouTube video that embeds it in the post instead of the hyperlink. I'm going for the visual of the preview for the video so I can draw interest.
I have tried but have been repeatedly unsuccessful.

take the bit at the end of the youtube url
wrap it in youtube tabs
done
i.e.:
[ youtube]dQw4w9WgXcQ[/youtube ]
without the spaces
