What's the deal with these hands are they strong hands or pure garbage? Funny because when I started playing a friend of mine told me awhile ago & JTs use to be the best hand to start with. Which makes to different age in poker lol.. is he crazy?

always remember, any connector + suited is worth all in with short stack + LP...once being called, the rest is up to poker god.

JTss > ie K5ss because of playability.

If you're going allin, playability doesn't matter...

SCs can be jams if shallow enough, when deeper they tend to play postflop well.

those hands play well in multway pots where you havent put in large amounts to see the flop. and you have a decent stack.

also when very short stacked in a tournament and the blinds are going to get you soon.
they do best in that spot when you are the first in and moving in as you get the chance to win the blinds without showdown.

with decent money it is a bad call to go in against a raiser. especially one that has raised from a position that indicates he has a good hand.

poker has not changed it is the same game as it always was. what has change is that most of the games people are playing much shorter stacks so play is certainly more aggressive
and the penalties are smaller for your mistakes.

The best hand to start with is probably an ace with another ace.

its the best hand for bad players as they can get lucky and win giant pots with it.
when they have aces they get to win small pots or lose giant pots. funny how that works.

Unless it's suited aces.

Are you shoving or calling a shove? Raising or calling a raise? How deep? Lots of factors ...

Lots of folks consider T9s as 'AA crackers' since you can connect in both directions.

There is an old adage that if there is a J or T on the Board then 'somebody' always has one .. thus these are the least Boards to bluff at. GL
