My question relates to how to make best use of study time. After all you have learnt, if you were able to go back and advise your former self how to best use your time in order to get to where you are now more quickly how would you suggest dividing your time? Which subjects would you suggest focusing on first, which would you suggest mastering etc.

As a more or less breakeven small and middle stakes MTT player, who has just started putting a lot of time into study, this question comes to me as I am trying to get to grips with flopzilla. It is taking me a long time working through tutorials to understand how ranges interact, how to defend a range that meets a minimum defence frequency etc. As I am doing this I am thinking that whilst this is surely not time wasted, perhaps I am focusing too much on optimal play vs good players, when in reality I should be focusing more on how to spot and exploit mistakes from weak players. I'm not saying that this is something I do not study or consider, just a feeling that perhaps I am trying to run before I can walk sort of thing.

Thanks

Ive loved poker since I watched it with my granddad on C4.. never really thought about how it all works and how in-depth it can be until I've only just started to study basics like positional play and bet sizes in certain situations. But I woud love to keep posted on this threads replies and see if theres any good study spots online to really improve my game.. trying to figure out opponent ranges but abit tricky for me as every opponent is different
