Steal % success and odds - simple question

Hello guys,
I open BTN 3BB to steal 1.5BB. This action to be profitable, needs to success at least 66% times, right?
I checked my holdem manager stats and my BTN steal success is 42.6 %
Am I loosing money with this action? Should I steal less?
I don't know if I'm thinking the right way and would like to discuss this topic.

You need 66% succes rate if you want to steal with any two cards. You could steal, give up on every flop and show a profit.
Steall succes only considers preflop.
You actually win 42.6% of the times when the blinds fold
but there will also be times when you win money posftlop when you have a good hand
or when they just fold to your cbet.
