You haven't specified whether live or online, so I'll give you my answers for both imo.
Live can be abit harder to focus as people tend to chat to you or there might be t.v's with sports on to watch. Don't go on your phone and just always try and be in the hand, even when you've folded. Try see any differences, like if someone is always folding to a 3bet OOP then you can exploit this.
Online I tend to listen to music and seem to do the same, or go over previous hands of opponents to try get a picture of their ranges. I understand where your coming from, sometimes it can be difficult to keep focus, but just always paying attention to tables and action is probably the best course of action.
