is it better to use population stats or standardized ranges like pokersnowie preflop ranges ?

You'd want to use the ranges that most accurately reflect what you're trying to simulate.

I want to study how to play my ranges post flop on different runouts.

I agree with Broken. It depends what output you're looking for. If you're looking to approximate a Nash strategy you need Nash inputs. If you're looking to calculate an MES you need the best approximation of your opponent's range (and probably need to do a bunch of node locking postflop).

so as not to start another thread is it possible to get solved preflop solutions with GTO+ ? I know the solver itself doesn't do preflop,but is their anywhere to buy GTO ranges that i can plug into GTO+? I know theirs a site that sales them for monker and PIO but cant find anything for GTO+
