Sitting in with more than the max buy-in PS Sitting in with more than the max buy-in PS

Hey!

I've found nothing about it on the internet, so I will ask it here. I play NL5 6max cash games for about a month in PokerStars. These are 100bb deep tables, I was never able to sit in with more than 5 dollars, but there are several players who can sit in with more than the max buy-in. First I thought they got disconnected and the server allows them to sit back to the same table with the deepstack they had. But then I also saw players sitting in who didn't play on the table before. I mean like I sit at a table for 100-150 hands, there are 6 players including me when I sit in and sometimes a player leave then another join to make the table full again. And then all of a sudden a player whom I've never seen (has 0 hands on him on my HUD) joins with a 200+bb stack.
Question: how is that possible?
Btw I don't really have a problem with this but I wanted to know the method cause I might want to sit in with a deeper stack in the future.
Any info about it?

IIRC there's a time limit on any individual table where you need to buy back in for as much as you left with, so if they left with 200bb they need to come back with that much unless they wait a certain amount of time

Yeah, it’s their ‘no ratholing’ policy, it’s to stop hit and runs.

Yes, I have already read about it somewhere. Although the writing stated that you would do it 8 times in a 24-hour frame to get this "restriction". I wonder why people would choose to play like that btw? I mean sometimes I sit to another table if on the current one I play with 5 TAGs, but how is it in any way profitable in the long run to double up and leave?

Some people suck at deep stacks. If those that wanted to play deep just went to the deep games and left the regular games to people who want to play 100bb deep we'd all get along fine, sadly that isn't the case and certain people want to eat their cake and still have the cake later and then wonder why online is dying
