Sit on go vs cash game rake comparison

If you played a cash game with a 10% rake and no cap, using your own approximation what do think this rake would be equivalent to in a sit n go buy in. My guess is about 20%. And a 5% rake in a cash game would be proportioned similar to a 10% rake for a sit n go. Your thoughts?

I don't understand where you have got those numbers from, how did you work that out?
Are you talking live/online?
The only way I can see this making sense is if you look at how much rake you pay on average over some time limit in a cash game and compare that to how many SNGs you play in that same time frame and the rake you pay for that. Online this is easy to track but you'd need a semi-reasonable sample size for both.

The formats aren't really comparable, because in one you're winning big blinds, and in the other you're winning multiples of buyins, so we use bb/100 in cash and ROI% in SNGs.
If you knew how many hands you got dealt in 100 SNGs, you could calculate the rake bb/100 for that format, and I'd guess it's up to double the rake bb/100 of cash, but all you should really care about is your hourly earn post-rake and any rakeback/rewards. Since tourney players are often much worse than cash players, you might be able to win more in STTs even if the rake is very high.

Rake is a huge function of winrate so I have no clue what the numbers are

If you play cash game with a rake that’s uncapped, stack sizes obviously matter tremendously.
