Should I Play the Cards I'm dealt aggressive or be a rock

I know this post might seem obvi to some & others will tell me that tight is right but lately I've gone back to being a nit playing top 10 hands and doing a lot of folding in my live NL 1/2 game in fl. I gained money one week and built my roll up but the next week i was card dead and I'm not going to lie i either ran bad or made 60 bucks profit after 9 hrs of play. Before i became a rock i was in there gambling seeing flops and of course my BR fluctuated but i made more profit and stacked people. Im going to the hardrock this Friday and i want to know should i go in there like i have a huge BR when i don't....and take shots?? And i know practice good BR management blah blah blah you know what i say?? 1/2 is the lowest i can play for NL Holdem

Well if you're not practising sensible BRM then taking an option that might lower your winrate but also lower your variance may be sensible. Then again, if you don't know whether you're a winning player regardless of style, BRM is irrelevant, and if you're just a casual player, you have a budget and not a bankroll, so play to win but have fun

Thanks for the advice sixfour but i think I'm going to revert yo my old style of play gambling it up being aggressive with my BR which most people are against but I've been listening to matt berkey alot and i kind of do good with his style of play. The reason for this is that before i would say that my win rate was actially decent but since i tighttened up I've been having loosing sessions

You can always go into the game with the intention of playing tight, but that's not going to work if everyone else on the table (Or the majority of players) is playing tight as well.

A better plan is to observe your opponents tendencies and adjust your strategy accordingly. You'll want to play the opposite of how everyone else is playing and also play the opposite of how others on the table perceive you.

If everyone is playing loose, you play tight. When they get the message that your a tight player, you loosen up (And vice-versa).

@Poker Hat is that format of playing that you're speaking about GTO or more exploitative?? It resignates with me as more of a live thing than an online standpoint
