I was not buying the donk allin at flop from Player 3 but should I have respected the Player 2/BTN? (a strong 9,6 re-raiser preflop, altough just 6,7 at BTN)

Calling preflop OOP Sets you up for spots like that.

On the flop you get into a situation where the preflop 3bettor will call 100% of hands that beat you and 0% of hands that you beat.

You should have respected the player 3 flat pre and then the donked flop bet OOP. BTN is going to have a wider range, but with your flop raise at that point there is nothing you can do to affect the outcome. That said your KQo are going to play horribly OOP post flop and are going to be frequently dominated.

It's a mandatory fold to the 3-bet pre, whether villain is nit or a LAG, and even more so when the SB cold calls. What kind of flop are you hoping to see?

I just called because of the blind call. It was a tough spot to let it go

I'm only calling pre if I have info that player 2 is 3betting really wide. Aside from being in terrible shape v a lot of opponents 3 betting range the risk in flatting with this hand is that you lose a lot/get stacked when you do connect. When you make TPTK and get a lot of action you'll mostly be behind. For example in this hand player 2 is far more likely to hold AQ/AK than KJ/QJ when they 3bet pre. When you connect your far more likely to be dominated than ahead.

The cold call should make you less inclined to call, because now you have to beat 2 players instead of one, and it's a lot harder to realize equity with offsuit hands multiway.
