Hi all,

Playing rec poker tournament, still two tables left, blinds 1,000/2,000. SB 15,000, BB (hero) 11,000. Folded to SB who shoves. I have A-4o. Hero?

I think I'd shove A-4o out of the SB hoping to steal, but can I call with it? I need a stronger hand to call generally, but blind on blind an ace is pretty strong, right? SB's shoving range is pretty wide I assume.

If no antes: After putting in the BB, you have 4.5BB left and win 11BB if you call and win.

Villain is supposed to ship close to 70% (!) of hands in this spot and your hand is a clear favorite against that. Very easy call.

You're supposed to call up to like 20bb heads up with A4o in equilibrium. You have 4,5.
